Default Tip: Keeping in Touch with Customers

I've noticed that some girls have stated that they give their phone number out to guys and that they have a pre-paid phone just for texting or for the custies to call and get their current schedule.

I would suggest using Google Voice instead. It's a FREE service with Google that will give you a valid local phone number. They can call and text you for free, but it will cost you $$$ to call them, but you can text for free back!

You can customize the voicemail on it as well. I know they also make an app for Android phones (don't know about iphones) so that you can then txt or call them from your phone with it showing the Google number as your number. (Make certain you read and understand the settings fully, otherwise, it'll give them your personal number!)

    ________

As far a scheduling goes I use google or yahoo calendar--Google, again, has an app for that that'll function on your Android phone. So you can update it on the go. And it's really easy to grant someone permission to see all (or a portion) of it.

    ________

And for those of you doing business cards, or something similar, with your email or number on it. Vistaprint.com does specials all the time with free cards if you pay for the shipping.

Exactly!! Great advice! Google voice has saved me time and time again because there was always some psycho that ended up blowing up my google line. I just released it from my phones and they went to voicemail. Perfect!

Keep trying. This happened the first time, and I picked an area code for the next city over. I then tried again, and a bank of area codes for my city had opened up.

Google Voice is good but be careful what you say and or agree to in text. It's all on record. If the convo starts getting too detailed go into your account and delete the convo.

I always talk in code to my regulars but they seem to get it.
