You'll find tools on a tool belt to be really impractical in a club setting.
Sorry I missed church. I was too busy practicing witchcraft and becoming a lesbian.

^ I was gonna say that too. You're putting way too much thought into this. No one really wears costumes on stage anymore.

That could be cute. Like really short cut up denims and a wife beater....toy tools lol.

You sound like me before I started dancing, I was thinking about allllll these cool outfits I wanted to wear and then an hour into my first shift and I realized that 95% of them would never actually work. In the strip club you need outfits that are really easy to get in and out of because you don't want to be struggling on stage and because you are probably gonna be taking your outfit on and off all night.

Even those pretty beaded skirts, you know on the elastic thread? First time I got on stage in them and did some floorwork all I heard was CRUUUUUNCH. Crushed 'em LOL. And before I did that the fucking skirt kept riding up over my hips to my belly button area haha!!

You'll find out pretty quickly what is and isn't functional. I think most of the spandexy body zone stretchy stripper shit looks so cheesy and cheap but we all wear it because it's extremely functional.

If you look around you can for sure find some costumes that are durable and easy to get on and off. In my experience guys do ♥ them too, girl in the costume automatically gets a lot of attention.

Themed costumes? Eh, not so much...

Years ago, when stage money was a bigger (or the only) segment of a dancer's income this was a popular approach but I honestly don't see it very often any more. Concentrate on your pitch and sales skills. The way you approach guys is going to determine your success much more than a costume. Sexy and attractive is important but a theme really is not.

Who told you this? A dancer hoping you would be too busy stuck in the dressing room coordinating your outfits to be out on the floor going after her customers? OK, just kidding but, honestly, the more time you spend working on your approach the better. Don't over-think the costume thing too much. It's all about sales skills and confidence. Good Luck!

I agree with yoda. IMO, nothing is less important than a dancer's outfit. Its all about looks and personality. Specialty costumes are nothing more than a distraction, but then again, I always was heading in to see certain people when I made a habit out of hitting the clubs and she or they could have been wearing a sweatshirt, sweatpants and sneakers for all I cared.

Maybe, I'm in the minority, but I do care about the outfits a dancer wears. It doesn't matter much whether it is a costume or not, but its got to be "slutty"... and stockings are a big plus.

I don't think that you are in the minority at all Jack. The thread, and my comment, is about themed costumes. While I don't think themes are a big deal anymore I do think that a lady's outfit needs to be well put together and should compliment her body type, skin tone, hair color etc.

I'm only saying my favorites were my favorites regardless of their costumes. I'm not denying the pics shown look good but that would not have caused me any hesitation to patronize my dancer were she not attired quite so well. Please realize though that virtually every visit I made after a couple months had an intended dancer in mind. Except for the first few months of visits, I was never in there browsing.

Costumes can be fun. I wore costumes occasionally because it put me in character. Customers with a sense of humor may find the charm in it. It it required? No.

As long as the costumes are practical and easy to remove, it doesn't matter what you wear.

Dancing can be really dull or frustrating - shaking things up is good for the soul.
It's not about what you do for a living, it's about who you want to be.
