    Question Nail Tech..

Has anyone studied, or is currently working as a Nail Tech? I've been interested for awhile now, to study, & I see a fair amount of help wanted ads for this type position.
The cost is high, (like all schools I guess). I had visited one a couple years ago, now it's out of business, though
Also, they don't accept financial aide??? Just OPI $500.00 scholarship, if you can get it!

If you get a nail tech license u could still work at a spa/salon that doesnt just do nails. I also went to a salon where all the girls were latina and did amazing designs. You dont have to be asian lol dont let that discourage you.

People pay more money to go to upscale spas and get there nails done (think champagne and herbal pedi/mani) than asian nail salons anyway. So theres plenty of opportunities in that field i say go for it. You could also get cosmetology license or skincare.

Hey, thanks Ladies! No, I'm not Asian, lol. I had applied a couple months back, at a salon for receptionist, they wanted someone who did hair, like a 'combo' person so I didn''t get hired..she told me that she thought nail service places were dying out..

I would invest the time to become licensed. It's six months in my state, I think. I would recommend looking for a job in a day spa or high end nail salon. You could also try hotel spas
