Default Getting in the stripper zone

Last night I had a terrible night at work.

It wasn't that the money was bad but I was tired and sick, had a customer that touched me inappropriately and missed one of my podiums so paid the club $50. Basically it got to the point that I wasn't even trying to make money and was just counting down the time for my stages to be done so I could leave. To make matters worse it all got me down so I cried in the dressing room in front of a couple of the other girls (just hoping the housemum didn't see).

So I'm going back in tonight and need to revive, move on and have a good night.

What do you girls do to bring back the positive thoughts, pump yourself up and once again walk out on the floor like you own the club? It can be things you do before you get to work (like dance around the house or have a glass of wine) or things you do once you're there to push though negative feelings?

first off i make myself forget the night before. force it out of my mind....cuz when you dwell and stew.....it just gets harder to bounce back.

i look at the bright side of every interaction before the club and during.it's not a matter of convincing yourself to better your mood, you need to actually achieve it.

i pamper myself before the club, make myself feel as knockout as possible, this always helps.when i enter the club, i greet everyone...dj, housemom, etc.....it's true about positive moods...if you start that chain....it will affect the whole club positively. don't sit alone...it looks bad, and allows you to quickly feel blue.

best of luck and happy thoughts your way!!!! $$$$$$$$$

I find that if I have a crappy night, the following night is more than awesome enough to make up for it. So if I've had a bad night, I get lots of sleep, get a new outfit organised, re-shave legs, double check eyebrows etc. Make sure eeeverything is perfect for my big bounce back night! That happened to me Thursday night (crap night all round) but Friday was amazing and made up for it completely!

Thanks girls. So I was determined to make the most of my night so I started pampering early, drank way too much redbull and worked it from the moment I got onto the floor.

Ended up having the best night I've had so far. Like one of those nights that you barely need to try to sell and just strut around but have men literally throw cash at you. So thanks girls for the push. Attitude and positive thinking is definitely key.

    This.

If I'm at work and feeling crappy the only thing I really can do is go to the dressing room and touch up my make up, hair, maybe change my costume, get a drink of water, sit for a minute then hit the floor.

If there are some customers that are not too negative I'll sit and chat and scope out the room.

When I feel overworked I just take two or three days off and do what I want to do. I do very simple everyday things like read a book, write, exercise, window shop, up keep my house, lay on the beach, make a coffee date etc.

Being a dancer can be consuming so you have to go back out in the real world and find yourself. If you don't you wont grow.

I always suggest to girls to either go back to school, start your own business or both. Follow YOUR bliss. Not someone elses. Not your customers bliss. Not your club owners bliss. Yours!

You can still dance with an education and another business. I say work it for as long as dancing is profitable for you and you can deal with it and it doesn't interfere with your life outside of the club.
