Hi! I'm new, though I've lurked around SW quite a while.
I've been interested in dancing for a long time and once auditioned in another state on a whim, but nothing came of it. I was terrified and I have no idea how I did. That was a few years back.
This time I feel a bit more prepared.. I'm a lot more sure of myself in general, and my day job is a management thing. I'm assertive and confident and charming, and I think I can really use those things to my advantage as a stripper.
There are a couple clubs where I live, a big one and a small one. I met a DJ from the small one and went there the other night to check it out - it felt way more comfortable to me, and i had a ridiculously fun time. Just watched the girls, tipped them on stage, got a couple dances. I almost got talked into dancing right then and there but I wasn't really ready.
So the plan is for me to go to amateur night this week and do my thing. And, of course, the plan involves winning and getting hired. Or not winning and still getting hired, but I like to aim high
I feel pretty calm about the prospect of hustling customers and private dances, the part that scares me is the getting on stage bit, and the interaction with other girls. The girls I met there seemed pretty nice, and from what my DJ friend has said, the drama level is nothing major. So the stage dancing is what I'm nervous about.
I'm going to buy new shoes tomorrow since the ones I had from back in the day are all worn out and I'm pretty sure i'd faceplant if i wore them to dance. I used to wear heels every day but lately I havent at all, and i'm totally out of practice. so that worries me a little.
I definitely know how to move slowly and sexily, so I'm not really asking for advice, maybe just some moral support! I really want to do this. I know I can kick ass at it.
Also.. I'm a tattooed goth girl, and am planning on using the name Lilith. My other idea was Sabbath, which I like, but i'm thinking the more "normal" one might be best. any opinions?
I can't say how much I have appreciated reading SW in the past few weeks.. I feel a LOT more prepared and a LOT less scared. (i rhyme!).. thanks to all of you and i can't wait to get started![]()
