Default Retin-A & appetite suppresant- 2 questions that have nothing to do with each other!

First off I've heard a lot of good things said about Retin-A. I mostly have some fine lines under my eyes (can it be applied under eyes?) and forhead. My question is what strength should I start out with. I don't have sensitive skin per say but I'm afraid of it being to strong or non effective.

Second I am looking for a good appetite suppressant. I am so used to stuffing my face and eating beyond full that it hard to stop when I know I should. I took a supplement years ago that really helped but cant remember what it was! Can anyone recommend something?

    Thanks in advance!

I used to take an appetite suppressant I liked a lot too and could only recognize by the orange and yellow pills--
I hate how everything seems to be discontinued a lot more quickly these days.

I'd go with the weaker Retin-A to begin with. Retin-A is fucking amazing, and the main difference I've noticed between the strengths is that the stronger it is, the more intense the side effects (dry skin, visible peeling). The weaker Retin-A, for me, has a positive benefit without the day of visible skin peeling.

I take mid-range Retin-A, in the 0.05% solution. It's called Refissa by Obagi and is the only retin- A to be approved by the FDA for wrinkle reduction. It's going to run you $80 or so. Go on Obagi's website to find a dr. that sells it in your area. You don't need to see the doctor, just go in and say you want the Refissa and they'll be happy to sell it to you.

You can get Obagi's regular retin A for about $45 but Refissa has a moisterizing emolient in it that will help with those first weeks when your skin is in the ugly stage. Peeling, cracking, mild pimples as your skin is purging, etc. Be patient - Refissa is a godsend, but you will have days when your face hurts a little, when you are pink, when your skin looks worse not better. Because I have not used it in a few months I am doing the retin-a every other night for the first week or two. It's strong stuff. Don't even think about the .01% as a newbie. It's like acid and really unsuitable to the summer months.

Retin-A's great, but I really don't think you should use it directly under your eyes.

it really just depends on your skin. i started out with the strongest .1% retin a micro years ago and have been using it off and on. the doctor gave me samples of both, but the stronger one wasn't any worse so i figured i would go with that one. i'm not sure if the weaker strength would have worked just as well though because i never tried it.

on the flip side, a lot of people i know didn't like it because they had bad side effects, so it's probably a good idea to try samples first since it can be expensive and a lot of health insurance plans don't cover it. the larger tube is about 200 dollars but it lasts me over a year.

i have really thick and somewhat oily cuban skin so that might be why i didn't really peel or have reddening.

it is literally the ONLY thing i have ever tried that keeps my face clear.

it's amazing and it does help with wrinkles too.

Maybe start out with the weaker retin A. When I started using it my skin got really flaky, red and a little bit sore, it went away the more I used it, but I would hate to think of how bad it would be if I used a stronger concentration. But then again my skin is kinda sensitive.
