Default Lip augmentation-what did you use?

I've done some googling-both on the web and around the forum-but I thought a new post for this would be appropriate. I don't have small lips naturally, but I've always wanted to have very full, Rosie Huntington Whitely-esque (I thought Angelina would be too obvious, lol!) lips. To those of you who have had LA-what were you injected with? I want something that will last a substantial amount of time if possible, at least a couple of months. I was also thinking about micro-droplet silicone but it seems there are a lot of mixed opinoins about that procedure, even when using a reputable injector-has anyone here had it? I've been doing my research about what doctors to consult with in my area (prob will have to travel to NYC) but I figured some first hand stories couldn't hurt. Thanks ladies!

i'm not really sure what you're talking about, as i don't know any doctor that will inject silicone into your lips.

i use juvederm xc and am pleased with the results of that. how long it lasts is hard to say. i'm at 10 weeks since my last injection and am still looking pretty full. will probably get injected again in six weeks or so.

I got restalyn, but they offered me juvederm too. They said it would last 6-9 months. Because I had quite full lips to start with as well i came back and they put a bit more in... Managed to talk them into giving the second lot to me free, but if you want a dramatic result make sure you tell them otherwise they might just give you a 'subtle' look lol.

My lips swelled up so big for bout 24 hrs after lol. People kept asking if I was doing porn haha x

restylane sucks in lips. Juvederm is awesome and lasts. I don't know a lot about silicon for lips but the thought of it is a little scary.

    LOL no, it doesn't.

I have Restalyne in my lips right now, and they are not 'sucked in'.

    They look great. So there.

Thanks for the info guys! I'm definitely leaning towards Resty or Juvederm Ultra now, I appreciate all the input I meant 'Silikon 1000' which some doctors/derms inject using the micro droplet technique-there are mixed opinions on it so I'm not going to risk it!

haha no I actually meant that Restylane doesn't work well in the lips. I've tried it a few times and it does zilch for me except bruise and swell! Def does not suck them in.

Works great under my eyes in my tear troughs however...

I loved Juvederm Ultra. It made my lips look so naturally full, it fades away very evenly too. Do a search and a ton of threads on it will pop up. It's been over a year since I had it done and there's still a little bit left in my lips. I would do it again in a heartbeat if I had the extra $$$ but I'm being a cheapass right now so it will have to wait

I feel the same way! On top of that, Restylane always fades unevenly for me.

Maybe some people respond better to products than others. I really need to start asking the ps more questions, lol.

How many syringes did it take for you to achieve full lips?

1/2 for me and even that is too much sometimes but I have HUGE lips naturally. I'm just greedy. Ha. My sister has thin lips though and she used 2 syringes and they look amazin!

I actually prefer Restylane to Juvederm.... I felt like it was more dramatic. Comparing the two is like comparing Jelly and Jello they say though... although the Juvederm is cross linked differently so it DOES last longer.

You can say that again.. not just on here but men in general. Guys are so damn lame, the only way they can halfway make up for it is by opening their wallets.
