    Default Social capital rules

I'm on good terms with the DJ at my club, I talk to him when the club is empty and tip out 10% every night. A lot of girls don't tip much and sometimes leave without tipping.

Last night he had a group of friends come in and first he talked me up to them prior to coming into the club, then he made an announcement wishing happy birthday to one of the guys and said "so one of you ladies go over there and give him some dances, you know who you are". I knew it was me, so I talked to these guys for a while, got some dances, and they tipped me a bunch on stage.

My club was pretty empty at the end of the night and it felt really good to be making money and busy when it was so slow. And I owe it to our DJ. He's gonna be getting fat tips this week.

I thought I'd post this in Hustle Hut because it's an example of being on good terms with the staff paying off really well. Now I think I'm going to try to get on really good terms with the waitresses.

In Vegas the bouncers at the Palomino where I work complained bitterly about many of the dancers not tipping. Not even out-of-town dancers either, the local girls. I never thought it much to tip each host $20 if I had a great night (on top of tipping them after VIPs) and they were really grateful. It helped me quite a bit.

Waitresses can be very helpful too and a lot of times they are treated poorly by dancers. If you help them they will look for ways to help you, whether it's pointing you toward men with money or sneaking you a shot when management isn't looking. I know, I know, I don't drink anymore, but back in the day that would have been a major perk for me.

So many girls have a bad attitude towards tipping staff. I hear a lot of "Well why should I have to tip them?!"

but I've worked in clubs where the DJ, waitresses, bartenders and door guys ALL pointed guys in my direction all night every time I worked. It isn't guaranteed... but it CAN make a huge difference in your income and the way you're treated by staff.

Yes yes tip well! Dj's at my home club and at most of the clubs I've danced at really don't do squat for me so I tip standard. It's the bouncers, door men(or women) and managers that have always been worth my while to tip generously.

Ok re reading that it sounded like I was being harsh towards the DJs but I just meant they are pretty standard and all the girls get pretty much the same treatment no matter what ya tip. When DJ's play music I request or bring in however I do tip a little extra.

I think knowing who to tip well can vary too. Like at my club, tipping the bouncers extra wouldn't do shit (they'd probably just think I had a crush on them), managers... maybe? Depends because some might think I'm tipping so they look they other way! And I know one of them would too haha! But waitresses... when they sell drinks for us we get cheaper rent so I'm going to tip the waitresses more from now on.
