    Default Lazy *Venting*

Yesterday right before my last set I caught major leg cramps in BOTH of my legs. I've had leg cramps before while on stage, and usually just play it off by stretching the leg out in a sexy way or something along those lines. I've never had them in BOTH legs at the same time! So I stop to sit on one of the booths and take off my shoes. One of the other dancers sees me in the corner grimacing in pain as I stretch my legs, and comes over and helps massage them for me.

Anywho, I decide to do my last set & just stay on the floor majority of the time. When I'm done and preparing to get off stage, this customer said, "You were lazy tonight!" Ummm excuse me?!?!?! I told him I just caught cramps in both of my legs for crying out loud (which I now know is contributed to dehydration and failure to stretch properly beforehand).

He then proceeded to tell me how I 'need' to workout (which I most certainly do), and just basically trying to make it seem like I wasn't on my job. I badly wanted to chuck my stiletto at his head. I couldn't believe the audacity of him calling me' lazy'; the nerve of some customers I swear!

Dehydration will definitely contribute to muscle cramps. Before going to my pole dancing class I do Pilates to warm up and stretch - it really helps, a lot. I'm going to continue doing this when I start dancing because it really helps me to limber up. Don't stretch your muscles without doing a warm-up exercise first, like a brisk walk around the block or something like that, otherwise you risk injuring yourself.
