Duh First night. what could I have done differently?

Actually yesterday was my first day. It was the slowest day the club has ever had from what I had been told. I sat with a man for a few minutes, using what I've read in hustle hut, asked him if he wanted to get more comfortable in the lap dance chairs. Bullshitted a few minutes then asked him if I could dance for him. I did my thang, when the song was over I got off his lap and put my shirt on. Asked him for my money and he hang on and I'll give it to you in a minute. I think I got defensive and didn't want to get ripped off so I made up some bullshit as to why I needed my money right now. Question is: should I have held off and just sat on his lap or what?

    Thanks ladies!

I would collect it up front. Always.

I'm confused: did he want you to keep sitting with him any pay you later, or did he want to go away and then come back and pay you? Either way, they should pay you after you finish the dances (or before if you work in a club where payment is expected upfront). If he wants you to stick around after you're done dances, offer him another dance. Otherwise, time to pay up!

what? only be on a lap if you're getting paid. there is no free rest period. these motherfuckers try all kinds of bullsh*t.

this dude once talked to me through a song and then when i mentioned he needed to pay me, he said, but you weren't dancing, we were just talking.

motherfucker, we are sitting in the dance couches and my tits are out. fuck you pay me.

you did the right thing. never give freebies. good for you for having your hustle turned all the way up.

Thanks Ladies for the comments. He seemed disinterested once I put my shirt back on and was looking around not at me. He also wasn't 'the drinking type'. I call bullshit on that one and figured if he was at the topless bar and not the drinking type maybe he was there expecting something more than a dance! These men are crazy tho, they want me to sit on their lap and buy me drinks but their not paying me. Time to move around.

Every club I've worked in, you ask for the monies upfront, before the dance!

it's fuckin bs in WA you are not allowed to ask for the $$ up front, and if you have shit security they can walk right out.
I'm here to make money. NOT make friends, if I make a friend then it's a bonus.

I'd rather be absolutely ridiculous that absolutely boring

Ask him if he would like you to keep going before you put your shirt back on. Make it seem like you're having such a good time and that you really want to continue dancing for him. Don't be in such a hurry to leave, take all his money first. I mean all of it. Then leave, with a smile on your face.
