Default Clubs in the Orlando, FL area

I'm thinking about moving and "working for the mouse" soon, but I'd also like to look into some clubs in that area.

I'm looking for a nice one where I can make decent cash. But I'm also in college to work in the education field so I how would I go about working in a club where it won't be on a background check and such? Any where I can be paid under the table or whatever? That's the part I'm worried about the most. Tell me your thoughts

Most UCF/Valencia girls worked at Dancers Royale on Colonial when I was there 3+ years ago - not the best option to remain anonymous because of it's proximity to the schools, though. Caberet Interntionale was also pretty popular, but I hear it's "gone ghetto" with a lot of Pimp-types running the scenes. Maybe try Rachel's? It markets itself as 'high end' so you might get some nice traveling business types there...Also, the one in Orlando isn't Full nude (The one in WPB is). Many of the clubs in Orlando are owned/managed by the same group of guys, who are notoriously scuzzy.

There's not a lot of money to be made in Orlando itself - Mickey's got the town on lock (think pasties and boy shorts and no-contact dances = no money).

Would you be willing to drive East to Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach on the weekends to dance?

You need a license to work in Orlando, which would increase the likelyhood of it showing up on a background check.
I started in Orlando, and while I was there I heard about clubs getting busted by LE and girls getting arrested. That won't be good for you if you are worried about background checks.

Besides that, money in Orlando is not that great. All the clubs require pasties and are strictly no contact. You can't be near the customer when you are topless, so there are no lapdances, only air dances.

I live in Orlando but I hate working there, and now travel out of town to work.

Yeah, I worked a shift at Dancer's Royale. It was a nice club and management seemed cool and professional. They have strict hiring standards (for night shift anyway), which I liked. It is a gown club, and they do these stupid feature dances EVERY HOUR. Each feature has a different "costume"/outfit all the girls wear. And you only keep $5, I believe. It probably is one of the better clubs in Orlando, but that's really not saying much. I didn't think it was worth it so I never went back.

I've also heard good things about Rachel's. There are two in Orlando, one by the airport and one in Casselberry. I'm not sure which one is better. I think they are also gown clubs but I'm not sure.

Also, you can get down to a thong (instead of boyshorts), but that really doesn't help much.

Yeah... it's something like $50 bucks for the year... or maybe $100... I don't really know cause I never got one lol...

I think some clubs will let you give them the money, and they will go get it for you. Saves you the hassle, at least.

Thank you, this was really informative! When you say it's hard to remain anonymous there because it's around schools, what exactly do you mean? Sorry, just a little confused. I don't plan to teach down there during the time I working around there so does that mean I would be okay in that area? I'll look into Rachels and see how it is. Sure, I don't mind doing some traveling as long as it isn't hours and hours away If you have any recs for those places, let me know!

Other than worried about the background check for future teaching, I'm also a little worried about Mr. Mouse! I don't want to get "terminated" - I'm not sure if this is something they don't care about (working outside of them) or if that is something they don't want their CMs doing resulting in being fired. Hm.. I really want to dance when I'm down there though! Decisions decisions...

Hm.. I don't know if they license thing will work for me or not. I'm still trying to think that over. Do other areas require it also (or do you know of any specific areas or places that don't)? I've never danced before but it's something I've been interested in doing for a few years now. I've read on these boards a few times about clubs getting busted and girls being arrested.. is that something that happens often in clubs? I'm just super paranoid when it comes to the law and such would die if I was ever arrested, lol.
    Thank you for replying though!

If not, Cocoa Beach and Tampa are not too bad of a commute away!
Thanks! I'll try to look into Temptations as well. Though I do think Cocoa Beach and Tampa might end up being the better options. That's interesting about the one night thing! When you say you give the last 4 of your social when tipping the dj at the end of the night, does that mean you never have to give them your full ssn?

There isn't any money in Orlando for the most part. There are no champagne rooms. Only dances and air dances at that. They are $10 and extremly tiring cause you're just standing up dancing the whole time. I worked at Rachel's and it definetly beat working at Doll House. What I liked about Rachels was there wasnt the stupid promos every hour like Doll House. Dollhouse & Rachels are both gown clubs. & yes, you can wear a thong but you have to wear pasties, too.

Eh, I've worked in Orlando a few times and I just tell them I'm getting it tomorrow or I'm trying to make the money for it or whatever.

I highly recommend that you avoid dancing in Orlando if you don't want to be found out and if you want to make real money. Everyone else has already given you the lowdown on clubs, the license, and the crap money. I personally think Dancers Royale and Rachel's are the best clubs. Rachel's is a gown club and Dancers requires gowns on stage but you can wear other stuff on the floor, or at least that's how it was a few years ago. Dancers Royale was my first club and they have great management. It's a good club. Rachel's has been around a long time and both locations have good reputations; Casselberry is supposedly more of a party/bar atmosphere and the one by the airport is a little more upscale and gets all the guys from conventions.

All the other clubs in the Orlando area are owned by the same people and they're questionable at best. I would not work in them. It's annoying to have to get a license but if they get raided and have been letting you work without one you will end up in jail, which is far worse than having to deal with the initial hassle of getting the stupid license in the first place. No thanks. I like being on the right side of the law.

If you do choose to dance in Orlando get a Google Voice number or a cheapie cell phone and use it to cultivate as many regulars as quickly as you can, the kind of regulars who will tip you for your time as well as buy dances, because that will be the best and easiest way to make acceptable money.

I love living in Orlando but stopped dancing here over two years ago and have never looked back. I dance in Cocoa Beach now and am looking at Tampa clubs. Florida money is very seasonal (there are a million threads on this) and I have a lot of shit nights during the summers but I still make a decent living. If you want to dance in Cocoa Beach the three big clubs are Lido's, Cheaters, and Inner Room. Bare Assets in Melbourne and Tootsy's in Satellite Beach are also worth checking out. It just all depends on your look and your hustle and what you're comfortable with so far as contact levels goes.

Didn't see this but the clubs in the Cocoa Beach area are rarely raided. Playmates got into trouble not too long ago but that's because they hired some underage girls and the local papers rightly made a big stink about it. The rest of the clubs seem to do a decent job of greasing the right palms. *coughcough* And I live all the way on the East side of town by UCF, Cocoa Beach is about 45 minutes away and Tampa is about two hours, but I drive like I'm 80. BTW, if you've never danced before, do be aware that contact levels in Cocoa and Tampa tend to be pretty high... it can be a shock if you're not prepared for it.

I just thought of this... but many clubs in Orlando don't have real stripper poles! I don't know why, but lots of the clubs have poles that are way too thick.
Dancers Royale is like this, and I heard Rachel's was as well. When I visited Thee Doll House it had what seemed like large PVC pipe over the pole.

Not conducive to pole tricks... though at Dancers I worked with a girl who could still rock it. She said she used to be a feature dancer. She was the only one who managed to pull off any tricks, though. I found it very annoying!

Oh and I also live near UCF... small world!

Lido's is much better and has an older crowd. Cheaters is more of a party club, and right now is the slowest time of the year for all Florida clubs. Normally I would always suggest Cocoa beach over Orlando and I still do but with the space shuttle program ending lots of people have left the area. I would try the beach again in around October. You could still possibly make some money at Lido's right now on the late shift Fri/Sat but that's really about it for this time of year.

Lidos has been pretty bad, even on the weekends. Still might be better than Cheaters, and there have been a few weekends here and there that were ok to good but overall it's been pretty frustrating. It still might be worth a try (especially over Orlando), just don't be too down on yourself if you have some shitty nights. It's just a tough time of year.

On average, I've been doing better on my weeknights in Tampa than I have my weekends in Cocoa Beach, but it's kind of a long drive. I work at Mons Venus which is nude (dunno your comfort level on that) and I found the hustle to be different than what I'm used to so it can be tough (I found it challenging anyway, but maybe for someone else it wouldn't be)... Also some of the other clubs I tried out there actually seemed to be worse than Lidos, but it's hard to say because I only worked one or two shifts before deciding to just stick with Mons.

Anyway, if you want some more info feel free to PM me.
