    WWW Considering Transitioning....

    Greetings everyone,

I am not a cam-girl yet, but I have been reading much here since I am thinking about transitioning to doing some phone, cam and online work in the next few months and slowly phasing down the amount of time I am spending dancing in clubs.

Me and the hubby spoke about our long term goals in the last few months and we are finding that rather than trying to push to maintain a South Florida lifestyle for years and years on end it may be better for us to think of a lifestyle change in the long term. Because I am very well traveled and he has standing monthly income coming in that he will be getting for the rest of his life I noticed that we're in a position to potentially move somewhere cheaper and still tropical in the next few years with considerable savings IF I can find something from home to make a few extra hundred dollars a month to cushion our income. I was considering using a combination of cam, phone and things like clip sales to get myself there long before we are thinking of making the big move having been on computers for the last 12 years of my life.

The plan is great and I've got two to three years to monetize something while in the states -- and to gather additional savings up for us to use. Yet, moving to ANY foreign country, I have some questions for current cam girls working the different sites....

1: Do the different site SM, AW, MFC and Daily pay and others like them pay you if you are in another country -- we are eye balling Latin America for instance?

2: I know I will need high speed internet access to make most of this work, but HOW fast is fast enough? While I expect to spend equal or more in rates to get good access in another country and while their systems will likely be improved within three years -- I still will need to get a ball park idea of what's the minimum.

3: Is is hard to make 500 a month doing web cam work? I'm not planning to make thousands a week, as long as I make 500-700 a month between the cam work and the clip sales and the like I'll be more than fine; but I would need to make that consistently before relocating; working no more than 20 hours per week in front of the cam.

4: Do older ladies still make good consistent money in web cam work? I may look in my 20's but I'm almost 35. Is it possible to do this when I am in my 40's?

I am going to be trying to opening up additional online revenue streams in the next ten to fifteen years to continue making money past age 50 once I am sure the web cam would no longer work. However, if that can work for the first years that we are relocated it would be great...

Thanks for all of your help and answers...

    Minaya ---

As a former dancer considering webcam work, I'm curious about this too. I'd like to know how much of the club hustle translates to camming. Hope to hear from some of you cam-girls who were/are strippers on the differences and similarities between these two kinds of work.

It's wonderful to hear that you are thinking of transitioning. But PLEASE use the search function. ALL of your questions can be answered with a quick look as they have been answered multiple times in multiple threads.

I'm acquainted with the search function. It hasn't yielded anything regarding the similarities/differences between strip club and camming hustles.

Maybe I'm overlooking something. Oh well, guess it was a threadjack anyway.

yes...a big portion of cam girls are from latin america and europe.

2: I know I will need high speed internet access to make most of this work, but HOW fast is fast enough? use the search and type in speedtest results. there is a thread where all of us posted our internet speeds. that willl give you an idea of the kind of speeds we need for camming. i really can't tell you if it will be more expensive or not because you dont even know what country ur moving to

i hope so..if you want to work 80 hours a month for 500 dollars that would be an average of 6.25 an hour

yes, i know of a few really popular camgirls that are well into their 40s

I don't recall ever seeing the similarities/differences between strip clubs and camming hustles either, on this forum. I could be wrong.

I doubt there is too much of a difference. I don't know anything about what strippers do. Do they blog, tweet, list themselves on other adult sites for promo etc? I would think so, but wouldn't the club itself be promoting you?

I don't know. I would imagine most of us do the same things as far as hustling our money.

All I know with camming there is a lot of promoting to do, and it can get tiresome sometimes lol. Most of the sites already bring traffic, if you are not indy, but it is very helpful to always promote yourself. It keeps your customers updated, and brings in new ones.

Not sure if this is what you meant by your original post. Or you can just post in the hustle hut (is that what it's called) ask the other strippers who also cam. Sam38g says it's all one big strip club, but I wouldn't know. I have only worked pso and cam
Taking a break from all unproductive shit will prove to be the best choice you can make.
