    Dizzy Vegan recipe ideas?

I am gluten and dairy intolerant and have to give up meat for a while too

I'm not the best cook and like 'quick fixes' with food.

Does anyone have any easy recipe combining ideas? I'm totally stuck on dinner ... will be lost without my usual chicken/fish!

You and I are food twins! I can't stop eating pumpkin puree with cinnamon and a little almond milk or maple almond butter!

Most people think it's kind of gross but I happen to think it's just amazing.

Green monster smoothies are another staple - a few handfuls of spinach, frozen pineapple chunks, and coconut milk makes a big green pina coolada!

^That's a good thread. There's surprisingly several vegans on SW.

I'm vegan and don't really do much gluten. Best things ever (especially if you work night shift and want quick easy meals for after work) are prepackaged soups or soup mixes. Canned soups are super high in sodium so I stay away from those. That with a big salad after work is the best.

I also do a lot of veggies and hummus, quinoa or quinoa pasta, edamame, or rice and bean dishes.

I am not Vegan but I recently went from vegetarian to Raw. I know many of those recipes are vegan though! You can pretty much make anything (and better) completely raw.

Not a vegan, but I do enjoy the occasional veg. meal: angel hair pasta (You can get rice based) with chunky tomato topping, mushrooms, & veg. meatballs, shreded rice cheese.
Also check out Dr. Praeger's brand, veggie burgers.

You can do a meatless Brazilian dish called "feijoada". Feijoada is a black bean stew cooked with meats then poured over rice(use brown or multigrain rice), but there are vegan recipes for it online. Look for one that's close to authentic, there are so many online that are almost Americanized...yuck.

After you put the rice and beans on your plate, you pile up cooked collard greens. The collard greens are chopped up finely then cook them with olive oil and garlic(do it this way, it taste so much better). The final touch when you serve everything on your plate, spread the powdered cassava/yuca.

I know you said you wanted something quick but if you cook it in one day, you can have left overs for the next few days. It's so good, you wont get sick of it. I find most vegan recipes easy to cook too.

I'd also have it with a small amout of sliced tomatoes with evoo and sea salt. Nom.

Another dish you can look up is stir fried veggies with noodles, Thai style. mmm
