Alot of hard work.
Yea I'm not sure what dancer is averaging $100 an hour, but if so, I don't know why they'd think about camming.
I quit dancing because on a week night I'd work 5-7 hours and I'd be lucky just to leave with $100. I'd take $100 an hour dancing vs $100 an hour camming anyday.
But to answer your question, not every cam model makes $100 an hour. From this forum, it seems that maybe half do. With the right site, right look, and hard work it is possible.

Its definitely possible...having a good fanbase, putting in good hours and making yourself available, and did I mention having a good fanbase? Working hard and knowing what you're good at/who you appeal to is important.
Cool! I'm dancing at Rhino in Vegas now, so there is money to be made here for sure. It's just so stressful and exhausting. Was wondering how camming compared. It certainly sounds like a lot more fun! I'm guessing it takes a hot minute to build up a solid fan base. I have the barbie look, so that might help, and from years of performing at birthday and bachelor parties am a professional at creating a FUN atmosphere. Can't wait!

Not all of these work for everyone, but here are some ideas:
- Have a set schedule! This way, guys will know when to expect you on and even when a potential customer sees your profile and you're offline, he will know when you will be available again
- work more than one site! some sites may be busy when others are slow, so don't put your eggs all in one basket. you may want to consider splitcamming or if you don't have the bandwidth, working as a phone sex operator and turning your phone lines on so when you aren't doing shows, you're taking calls
- maximizing your offline tips! promos, contests, raffles - there are many ways to generate offline tips or tips while you are in a private show, so be creative!
- sell content: pictures, videos, audio recordings, even panties - some sites will let you sell items, if the sites you are on don't, then consider signing up for a site that caters specifically to guys looking to buy those items
- promote, promote promote! social networking, buying ads, blogging, etc. puts your name out there and will help to increase your customer base
It's doable - you just have to put some planning, strategizing, and effort into it![]()

Yeah $100 per hour isn't the norm for camming - just those who are either: dedicated or lucky.I certainly don't make $100 per hour, lol.
If you're going from dancing to camming, I'd say start first by cutting down on your dancing hours and start working part time camming. That way you can see how it goes, see how much you like it, and see how much you're getting paid. Then you can decide if you want to do it full time or not.

$100 dollars an hour is not the norm for dancing for everyone(but you already know this). Not for a lot of girls nowadays. If you want to try it, just do it and see if it works for you. Every girl makes different money, no matter what they do in the adult industry, its not that realistic to ask when everyone does different things and looks different.

really?
i'm not in this position but there are some girls who make $100/hr on mfc through tips, group shows, and privates, or (perhaps less common) on streamate with a combo of tips/groups/privates/party chat. or through splitcamming on multiple network sites at the same time. and it doesn't necessarily take years or a members only site to build up to that.
it's definitely not the norm in camming (it seems like most girls here make somewhere between $15 and $70/hr on network sites) but that doesn't mean it's extremely rare or impossible.

Im not sure...definitely would not take years...a few months perhaps, with a solid schedule and attention to building up regs.
Im so half-ass its not even funny, but I average about $40-$60/hr when I do cam. If I actually kept a schedule and went on cam more than twice a week, I can imagine I would do better and my hourly rate would go up.
The point really is...treat it like what it is...a job..with a schedule and a responsibility to perform your job well. With that...I do think $100/hr or darn close to it is possible.

$100/hr is well above the norm for dancing. Most strippers aren't averaging anywhere near that, and NEVER do.
Same for camming. It takes work - doesn't take years but it does take work and dedication.
Also, membership sites are no longer the way to go for profits. In the internet adult entertainment world, the personal membership site has just about gone the way of the dodo bird. Unfortunately a lot of girls haven't figured this out yet.

Thank goodness too...I totally suck at maintaining a membership site. Back when they were the big thing going, I tried..and tried...and tried.... But be damned if I could take enough pics and vids and blog enough to make a membership worth it. Im happy to know Im not missing out on much![]()
If anyone were to make that much it would most definitely be on MFC. The top models on that site make bank, and it is difficult to be in the top 20, unless you are constantly on and have a good following. I know a model on there was tipped 250k tokens at one time. The other day I saw someone was tipped 15k tokens.
250k tokens is $12,500 for the model. Each token is .05 cents. I don't know if any other sites have members dropping that kind of cash at one time. I have worked on a few sites. Most don't seem to have the traffic.

I've averaged $100/hour several months of the year.
The rest of the time it was between $50 - $75/year when it was the slow season.
If you are willing to do for one year what other's won't, you can spend a lifetime doing what other's cant.

MFC is most definitely NOT the only way to make this kind of money, but I'm damn sure not giving away my secrets in public![]()
I will say though, pareto principle always applies.
80% make 20% of the money.
20% make 80% of the money.
Very few girls will average $100/hr with any consistency. Just like in stripping. 1999 is long gone. LOL

Well I didn't say it was the only way, but he said is it possible in the camming industry. If you want $100 an hour in the camming industry, I would recommend MFC. But actually now that I think about it, that kind of money is also attainable on Streamates if you have the "gold show" option. That's just my opinion though.
I don't have the gold show option, so I'm SOL on that site lol

I've never been on streamate. Is this gold show thing something models have to qualify for??

MFC - The Holly Grail
I have never seen a website like this,ever.. and I have tried many...
A room full of premiums, lets say 100.. and only 1-2 say hello..?
Go on cams, com, go on LJ, go anywhere else.. people have the common sense to greet the model who will most likely show her naked body for them, WITHOUT them paying.. at least once a day.
But no... MFC is great, full of lazy motherfuckers who refuse to say anything.
MFC is so overrated.

^They're not saying anything because they're too busy getting their free wank on, and/or recording the show. LOL

Most girls do not make $100 an hour, so I will not tell you that lie.
SOME girls make $100 an hour.
I dont like it when people jazz shit up knowing damn well..............

I have to admit...Im amazingly sporadic, so I can admit that odds are, when I do go online, I do okay because the guys are just trying to catch me while they can since they have no idea when I will be back. My regs for sure are like that..and the rest think Im a new girl because they havnt seen me around before...even on sites Ive been on for years.
So where Im coming from is the "logically speaking...if Im on more, Id make better money consistently" but from a logistics point of view, it does also make sense that if one is consistently online all the time, guys will know you'll always be there so they can get back around to you whenever...and making $100/hr is not as possible.
Im going to make pretend now that being elusive is my marketing technique![]()

bwahahahhaha. i love you blksharpie![]()
