    Thumbs up friendly competition ;]

I wouldn't consider myself terribly competitive when it comes to sports and games, but last night my closest dancer friend and I decided to have a competition and see who could get more dances. it was actually really fun and kept me motivated all night and I ended up getting way more dances than I usually do on a sunday night

    the rules:
we weren't allowed to under charge for dances or give deals
we weren't allowed to tell the customers about the game
at the end of the night we'd get the official count from the lap dance cashier

we were gonna pick a winner prize but ended up deciding that the money from dances would be enough

we would update each other throughout the night whenever we'd get another string of dances. I'd elbow her and be like "ooh I'm up to 11 dances already! you better catch up!!" and we would tease each other like that. whenever she saw me sitting down she'd be like "getting tiredd? I'm gonna beat you!" it really kept me motivated.

I got a BIG lead on her when a customer bought 3 dances from me and the next one bought FIVE and I could feel my adrenaline pumping and wanted to stay ahead so I kept getting more and more dances. I spent the last 3 hours of the night on the floor talking to customers and didn't take one break. we went to the lap dance cashier at the end of the night to get the official count and I won!

I'm definitely gonna try this again on friday!

Friendly competition is totally motivating. I find myself wanting to do best when more of the hustlers are working, two girls in particular. We don't make it a game like you and your friends because we aren't close and I consider them my direct competition, but I AM trying to beat them in my mind.

    I feel the same way.

I make up a lot of games for myself. I like to approach customers who have just said "no" to a couple other dancers and win them over:-) I also play the can't take a break until I get 10 "No's."

A couple days ago a SWer was talking about knowing her "rank" each night. If they did that at my club I would be even more relentless! I am super competitive.

I'm so glad I've never worked at a club that does "ranks". I get enough rumors about me sucking dick when I have an $800 night and everyone else makes $300 and no I don't tell anyone what I make but when they see me in and out of the CR bitches start running their mouths

I'm pretty competitive with my best friend. She drives me to sell more, but it only works if she's having a good night. I get pretty envious at times, which I guess must go both ways, but Im always happy for her. Better the money in the club is going to a friend than a bitch

yup that's exactly how I feel so even if I lose I don't care. and I agree that it only works on a good night. if she was having a shit night I definitely wouldn't rub it in her face.

My sister and I do this every night (that we work together.) Soooo motivating and we almost always end up very close at the end of the night.

Awesome. My friend and I used to do that. If one of us had more dances than the other either of us would say "Oh shit I better catch up!"

    Totally true. Do what works.
