This is the soft suede inner sock....right..?

Get a soft facecloth....and bowl of VERY hot water with diluted washing powder. Immerse the cloth in the soapy water and then wring it right out until it's almost 'dry' - then CAREFULLY rub the inner sock with the cloth to remove any grubby marks. Let the shoes dry out completely by an open window - or in the airing cupboard.

Whatever you do - don't get the inner sock completely wet, as it will make a 'water-mark' - and the sock itself will dry hard.

I think I must have different shoes from you guys, I wear pleaser mules and there is an soft sole but no inner sock which could be wrung out- I'm picturing you guys wearing closed toe burlesque style shoes.

I buy suede cleaner and one of those little suede brushes. Spray it on and brush and then leave in the hot sun to dry. UV rays kill bacteria.

Where do you buy suede cleaner and the little brush? Any shoe store? I recenly bought my first pair of clear heels (I've always had black before) and it has a white suede on the inside. I didn't realize how DIRTY it gets. yuck

Try using the mr clean magic erasing pads with very little moisture on them. The pads also get scuffs off the sides of the shoes in a second.
