Default Internal bump after removing Monroe piercing

I had my Monroe pierced about three weeks ago. I must have changed out the jewelry about 6 times (I know I was supposed to wait 6 weeks for it to fully heal.) Now I've removed the jewelry completely. The problem is, I can feel a bump, a little bit smaller than pea sized when I feel the hole from the inside of my mouth with my thumb and index finger on the outside of the hole. (I hope this is making sense!) You can't visibly see the bump, only a bit of redness. The only time it can be noticeable is when I apply lipgloss and I rub my lips together- thats when the bump seems more pronounced.

My question is, will this internal bump eventually go away over time or is it internal scar tissue that will be with me forever? I really regret fucking with the piercing.

I would think that the bump will go away. But don't hold me to that statement. I have a lot of peircings and on most of them i have had a bump that stays for a week or two than dissapears. So hopefully for you, it is one of those. Wish i could give u more info babe..sorry.

It could be scar tissue. But I doubt that the piercing has healed quickly, in fact I know it hasn't if it was three weeks ago (I have my lips pierced), so I doubt that scar tissue could have formed that quickly...let alone that much.
If you are willing to do for one year what other's won't, you can spend a lifetime doing what other's cant.

Took mine out about 8 months ago. I had to test it, but yes, I have that bump. Probably scar tissue. I've never noticed it until now.

i'm yet to get a monroe, but i think i know what you're talking about - i've gotten those with my other piercings. if it's outside of your mouth, i'd try spot treating with some tea tree oil and it will shrink right down!

Yep, it'll go away. Had the same thing for weeks after I got mine pierced. Rinse with sea salt and warm water and it'll heal faster. Good luck!

Put pressure on it! It should go away.
