Twenty Eleven
Two Thousand Eleven

I say twenty eleven.
what I've always wondered is what do you call the decade between 2000 and 2009
like 1980-1989 is "the 80's" and 1990-1999 is "the 90's" sooo what do we call the first decade of the 2000s?

The 2000s are the "aughts."

I am disturbed by the results so far.

It honestly just depends on the context I'm saying it in. Like, if I'm just repeating the date, I say "twenty eleven." If I'm saying something like "It's 2011, for christ's sake!" I say two thousand eleven. I don't think one really sounds better than the other while in these number. Twenty oh Nine sounds odd... I never said that.
