It's terrible, but it honestly never crosses my mind. It bugs me to see trash in the ocean, but other than that I don't stress it.

Then again, we don't buy a lot of stuff that makes trash. My husband keeps old milk jugs and makes juice in them, and washes out dour cream containers. We don't have a recycling bin though.

I don't have a recycling bin, but there's huge ones outside my apartment complex, so I just take my empty bottles/etc out there when I have them. It's not often.

I was raised fairly "green" before I even knew what "green" was. I know a lot of people who are switching to more earth-friendly practices and it's hard on them because they were raised in very "wasteful" environments..... I feel like, comparatively, the eco-footprint I'm leaving is small. *shrugs*

Growing up I was recycling way before it was even cool to do so. My mom was a bit of a recycling nut / health food nut / witch doctor. (nothing like a good Comfrey poutice) So we used to recycle everthing, even some garbage. Now a days, I pretty much only recycle pop cans, and to be honest that's only cause I can get money for them. gotta love those out of state MI cans.

We have curbside recycling pickup at the same time as garbage pickup. Plus we have a compost bin. It's amazing how much you can actually recycle when you put your mind to it.

Recycling isn't that green outside of metals. Depression era re-use and use of local energy sources is much more green overall.

I recycle but that's about it. Considering 3 of my cars get 9-10 mpg i'm not doing too good
