Default I sweat a lot and it sucks

Anyone else have this problem? I always give 100 percent while on stage but a lot of times I have to go the DR and freshen up before I even walk to floor for tips because I'm so sweaty and its gross!

It also occurred to me that it may be keeping me from getting more than a couple LDs at once? I did 3 dances in a row for one guy and I got so sweaty that my falsies were coming off by the time we finished! I don't stink when I sweat, and I've been told a couple times by guys that they like me getting all sweaty while I dance for them, but I hate it. Honestly I feel embarrassed but if someone comments, I just laugh it off and say I really do work hard for my money.

Is there anything I can do to stop sweating like a filthy pig??

sweating on stage and during dances is usually a sign you're working too hard. and i am anti-hard work.

there was a thread a while ago (last year, maybe) about dancers who use deodorant on their faces, so maybe that's an option? i do swipe my back with deodorant because right on my spine tends to get sweaty for no good reason.

I sweat a lot, too, esp. during dances, and it suuucks when guys notice that you're getting all sweaty. I hate when they touch my back and comment on it... so embarrassing. lol. I've been told that I don't smell, but it's still annoying.

Agreed that it's because we're working too hard. If you do everything slower and spend more time posing/touching yourself/doing "easy" stuff on stage, you'll be less sweaty and have more stamina. With LD's, spend more time cuddling with the guy, nuzzling his neck, massaging his back, etc. Assuming your dances are high contact...

I feel you're pain. If the club is too hot I can get gross. I use a prescription antiperspirant called drysol. It works well. You can put it where u sweat most, but it can eat through clothes and stain them too. You put it on before bed so wear old clothes.

I've heard botox injections can help too.

I 2nd the botox injections. Had this done in June and it worked great.. I got it done in my armpits.. the onlyyyy downside is that it can make you sweat more in other places. I noticed my feet sweating a little more, but it isn't bad. Given how much it helped, I definitely recommend it.

Since I went raw I don't sweat. Maybe a tiny bit after a 3 mile run under my nose but that's it. I don't even need anti-perspirant anymore.

So maybe try upping the fresh produce and cutting back on some of the processed food, meat and dairy.

Men tend to like sweaty - they interpret it as a state of arousal. Don't worry about it too much.

Slow down. Slower music. Strike poses and count to three (in your head).

    Flash dance anyone?

I noticed some people do, men are so gross lol

I think the problem is that its just too hot... may not be a problem though. When I think about it it makes sense, heat rises, you're up on stage up the pole, air is hot up there, and you have a shit ton of lights flashing all over you. I feel better 'cause I started at a new club recently and I notice all the girls are sweaty and running to the br right after their set.

I posted this in another thread, but it bears repeating:

I'm not a dancer, but I had the same problem with perspiring. The smell was embarrassing. And I couldn't wear light colored t-shirts for fear of pit stains.

I tried getting stuff from a doctor but it was difficult to apply. I tried to find something at the store, but it was just a big trial and error. I went from Degree Sport to men's antiperspirant.

Then Secret came out with their Clinical Strength stuff and it was a Godsend.

I put it on before bed and I don't have the perspiring problem anymore:

I use the Original, but they also have Waterproof and Sport.
