I do have quite dry skin myself, and my skin really loves Clinique moisture surge - it's a gel-cream, so it's nice for summer and under makeup in the sense that it's light but moisturizes like a dream!
It got rid of my dry patches almost immediately.
My one recommendation for toner would be to make it yourself. It's not really everybody's thing but until this point I never got compliments on my skin, but from strangers even! Take 1 part green tea and 1 part apple cider vinegar, mix, and refrigerate. Use it in the morning and at night. Within a few days your skin will glow like nothing else! I had some serious rosacea but when I was on this toner, any sort of redness or inflammation was little to non-existent. Not to mention I was practically poreless and soft as a baby's butt!
For one reason or another I stopped using it and I could tell the difference. Gah!
I am seriously in love with DDF's 10% glycolic toner. It makes your pores so tiny!
I've been using Clarin's multi-active cream-gel for a while now and really like it. Leaves my skin perfectly moisturized.

I have extremely dry skin and I think roseca but have never actually been diagnosed with it. I am a product junkie and have used 100s of high end products over the last 10 years or so, anyways lush skin shagrala is awesome for dry skin. I use revive mousturizing renewal creme day time and ddf retinol night time. Both of those products are extremely pricey( 95 for the ddf and 170 for the revive) but are so worth it. The skin shangrala is around 50 and I use this before work and sometimes at night it's the best thing i've found for severly dry skin even better than crem de lamer and it helped me imensely in reno, since I am used to 100 percent humidity my skin was suffering.
DDF is the shit. Try their sulfur mask!
Ahh that was me exactly! My derm also told me nothing could be done about dermatitis I had.![]()
Let me know how it works out for you! I've tried just the ACV alone and it doesn't even compare. I was astounded at the state of my skin, especially being so cost efficient.
I saw that Caudalie thing...... actually I've been using a Caudalie moisturizer lately, and I like it. It's very lightweight, and the texture is different, better for oily skin.

Other than that, I love the Body Shop vitamin E face cream. It's a nice balance, not too oily, not too heavy, not too light.....

I've always used Cocoa butter. WOuldn't change for the world. Sometimes i mix it with pure shea butter from senegal or with arnica cream if i have any bruising. You can also mix in essential oilsx

I love the rare minerals line at sephora for moisturizer. It is good for rosacea plus all natural. It has really helped my skin and my skin glows with it.

Drink more water! Check your intake of amino acids, good fats. Emu, avocado, jojoba or coconut oils (pure organic and unrefined) at night. Really makes a difference for my dry skin. I can now use an oil, free all natural organic, and very light moisturizer during the day and no dry skin. Also mineral make up makes a HUGE difference.

Toner preps your skin for moisturizer. Check out Murad. http://www.murad.com/skin-moisturizers.jsp
Sorry I missed church. I was too busy practicing witchcraft and becoming a lesbian.

Alba botanica makes a CoQ10 line that is MAGICAL. I use philosophy Purity to wash my face, then the Alba toner and wrinkle defense cream. People laugh at me because I'm in my twenties but I'm obsessed with not aging. coq10 is essential for cell renewal and encourages new growth. These products make my skin clear, smooth, and it easy to apply makeup over them.

Have you tried coconut oil? Or drinking more water?
Kidding, kidding.
I use Aveno moisturizer. I'm pretty restricted because I'm super allergic to everything.
Toner helps clarify and restores the PH balance to the skin after you've cleansed (washed) your face. Mines homemade; home-steeped green tea, which hazel, and Apple Cider Vinegar. Although Nivea has a nice new line of all natural facial cleanser/toner/moisturizer....might try that out soon.

^ My girlfriends an esthetician at a p.s office and she said toners are complete wastes of money they also dry out your skin if it's somewhat dry.

Not a waste for me. It varies with each individual, I'm sure.

I use the same toner! ...well minus the witch hazel. What is it's purpose? I saw some today at the natural health food store.
And uh are you knocking water and coconut oil?I've tried EVERYTHING and nothing works better than pure oils. And it really doesn't matter what you put on your skin if your dehydrated your skin will still be dry.

Naw, not knocking it at all. Coconut oil and drinking lots of water will do wonders. But there are other products out there that can help too. I was just joking because it seems like no matter what the issue here on SW body business, the first thing people will recommend is 1)Coconut Oil or 2)Drink more water.
Witch Hazel is an all natural anti inflammatory and anti septic and helps combat acne, burns, bruises - it's used like an astringent. If you buy it, make sure you check the ingredients list and make sure there's no alcohol in it. It's a great toner because it can clarify without messing up the acidic balance of your skin.

^ I drink a gallon of water a day and it does nothing to hydrate my skin. It's a myth like drinking water flushes out toxins/ cellulite.
I used a lot of different products by I really like Ava Anderson's moisturizer. You can go to her website, the moisturizer smells so good! It used to only come in a 1oz bottle but now it comes in 2 ounces. Google Ava Anderson Non Toxic. There are no bad chemicals in it, it's all natural stuff, and they just came out with an eye cream as well. Alicia Silverstone uses it too, she talks about it in one of her blogs. For make-up I use other brands, my favorite brands for make-up is Aveda, Clinique, and Channel.

^ Is the clinique makeup remover a cream or liguid? I'm looking for something other than the lush ultra bland I'm using since it's thick and I cant really use it on my eyes.

I love Johnson's Baby Wash Vanilla Oatmeal for my entire body.

^you gotta shake it really well and very vigorously, and apply to a cotton ball quickly.

whoa girl! a moisturizer is crucial!
i know you went to sephora and got everything, i hope it's working out for you. just allow the moisturizer to soak in before you apply your makeup. sometimes i'll even mix my moisturizer with my foundation when my skin is looking good and doesn't need much coverage.
my current favorite moisturizer is "hope in a jar" by philosophy. LOVE their eye cream, too. and their daily exfoliator. crucial stuff.
