    Default Hairstyles w/ extensions?

I have fusion hair extensions, and when I try to put my hair in different styles... like ponytails or half-up/half-down... you can see the part where it attaches. So I just leave it down all the time, curled or straight, but that's getting old.

Not even sure if I'm supposed to put it in a ponytail... is that going to pull out the extensions??

Any tips from you ladies? I know we have all kinds of bought hair on these forums

^ OMG I know right?!Imogen makes them seem a lot higher quality than they actually are in her videos. When they first came out of the package they seemed alright. Then I washed them and wore them once. Super thin and got all tangled, I could make some twice as thick for half the money. They are still sitting in my bathroom drawer

^^ya i agree..i had Foxy lock hair extentions bought for me and i hated them!! I got the lightest blonde hair they had and it looked orangy when it came in. Tried to bleach one clip but it didn't work so well so i tossed em. I would really like to get some that don't damage my hair bc i want my hair to grow out and still be long and healthy when i take out the extensions.

Girlllll I can make you hair extensions that are better than anything you could possibly buy! I have my own technique for how I sew the clips on, so you when you wear your hair up, they flip and the track lays flat against your head. Also, the hair that I buy, nothing even comes close to the quality. It's the best I've ever found by far, and it's this obscure brand that only one store in Dallas sells. I make hair extensions for dancers all the time!

I think imogen( since she owns the company) has ones made for her that are better quality because I almost bought a pair like 2 years ago when she first came on youtube and then after about a year when everyone was buying them and making vids nooenes ever looked as good as hers. Glad I never wasted the money on them, I want to try the hello gorgeous ones though

Were they the keratin bond? Your stylist should have told you the downside to the bonding. I do believe you should be able to tie your hair up, i think just not too tight of a ponytail and it shouldn't be a problem. There's a lot of tutorials on youtube on styling extensions if you search. Updo's will be somewhat hard because of the bond but i believe you can achieve it or at east give it a go.

It just depends on the length.... how long were you thinking about? Right now I have I think 20'' in my hair.

Yeah, they are the keratin bond. I put it in a ponytail the past two days, and it actually looked pretty good... but you could see one or two bonds if you looked for them. I'm gonna go search the hell out of youtube... thx! : )

J.D. Would you mind sharing your technique for sewing in clips pretty please (maybe some pics)?
Also do you double up your wefts?

Yes I do double up my wefts, if you mean fold them in half before sewing on the clips, and I only use three of them! The very first time I bought a package of clip in extensions there were like a million different length wefts. After I had put them all in, I had so much shit on my scalp, I hated it. I especially hate those two tiny 1'' wefts that go on your temples. I like just the bare minimum, I think that looks the most natural. Nobody ever thinks I wear extensions!

Yep that's one of the nice things about making your own, you can make whatever length/configuration works best for you.
