This Briselle ProHeat machine I got at Target is crap. It takes forever to suck wet dirt up.

^^^I saw this SHARK vacuum cleaner advertised on TV for relatively cheap. It could do a lot of things well, maybe they make one for wet vacuum/soap? I'll do an internet search.

Wide range here. The Rug Doctor looks promising, but it is $690. Shark doesn't make a wet vacuum, just a dry vacuum and a steam vacuum.

Why not just get a wet/dry shop vacuum from Sears or Lowes?
Comes with a range of different heads and Hepa filters are available too.
They also hold like five gallons and don't even blink at pet hair.

I know, that's why i'm asking.
If anyone has any they like, let me know. I don't want to go by reviews online.

Do you have a Swanson's vacuum store by you? Not sure if that's a national chain or not. That's where I got mine; It's a Hoover upright from their commercial line. Looks just like a normal upright, but it has a more powerful motor, sucks like a two dollar... well you get the idea.It also has a longer, thicker cord, and even the body of it seems to be made of a thicker, stronger plastic. I've had it for about 8/9 years now, and it still works great.
It cost about twice of what a normal one was selling for, but it's been well worth the extra investment.
KIRBY.... I got one on eBay for about $260 a few years ago. Completely refurbished with all attachments. BThe site I used was samdogsales. My aunt also bought one nooooo probs. Many other sites have them too.
i think she wants to shampoo the carpet...(shoot soapy water into the carpet, spinning brushes to agitate it, then suck it up)
shop vac would just suck up water....
OP, I got a Bissell about 10 years ago, dont know the model.........for around $400...still going strong, works great.
If you are going to continually use it(wet dirt sounds like a dog).....dont get a cheap one.
