First off why would anyone trust what anyone says about investments on face value without research. All the reasons you have mentioned are pretty shallow reasons.

I have been in banking for ten years; as an activate professional helping others with their financial goals. I actually try to help people learn how to invest on their own. The first lesson I ALWAYS teach is if you hear about it on the news, radio, or paper it is, GENERALLY, already too late for the investment. The big players want out, they market the hell out of it, it goes high, and they pull out.

Lastly, You would be very surprised who comes on to this forum. There are doctors, lawyers, financial professionals, etc. Many of us here at dollar den know what the SEC is and how it works. We have discussed it many times.

That is also why we use disclaimers. In the off chance something comes back to bite us in the ass. If you work for a financial institution they go thru your life with a fine tooth comb. They google employees, credit checks, back ground checks, etc. To them you represent the financial institution to your clients. Employees have been found on sex sites, making bad comments about their employer on fb, on forums complaining etc. all of which got those folks fired. We know because we work it everyday.

As a professional female banker, who never stripped, I try my best to show respect to everyone here but especially the strippers. They deserve it. Please show those of us non strippers , who come here to help, respect as well. You would be surprised what we know and who we are.

This post by Vamp really sums things up so well ...And even in the short time since she posted look at what has happened ...and the US market coming off a holiday weekend to boot ..after horrible falls in Europe .

Look .... I really want all the make money , and sincerely wish ALL luck .

However , I just warn again ..Now is not the time for Brash statements , Now is the time to move with extreme caution . No sector is safe in my view .

Just understand the varyed input here ...and if its a one line RAMP , just completely disregard , there is generally an alternate agenda .

Anytime something goes up in price for a long period of time, the word bubble gets used...... We are not close to bubble territory IMO...... When the average guy in the street is buying gold, (and right now gold ownership is no where near that point.) then we can break out the word bubble.

    Gold price adjusted for inflation.

Gold price vs Tech bubble...... Long way to go before the blowoff phase.

Most don't want to think about it, but gold is not just a commodity..... It is money...... If it wasn't money..... Why does the Federal Reseve hold so much of it?

There are obviously many 'experts' who disagree with this assessment ... and argue that gold is a 'barbaric relic' that provides zero interest earnings, that the use of gold as money unnecessarily restricts economic growth etc. My personal opinion is that gold is a classic store of 'value' that is comparatively free of speculative or other price manipulation. Unfortunately this position becomes less true with every new gold fund that is established and with every gov't funded physical gold transaction.

But ( trying to make a politically oriented point in a 100% financial way ) gold's price stability is certainly still superior to that of any of the 'fiat' currencies ... as evidenced by the Swiss Franc's 7% drop within minutes today based on a single statement from Swiss gov't officials regarding a change in future Swiss Franc exchange rate policy versus the Euro.

Also, within the USA anyhow, gold is officially considered to be a commodity ... thus subject to sales taxes and capital gains taxes in many circumstances.

And Look what has happened since my first Post ! ...Look this is NOT rocket Science ..any fool calling the market a " buy " or ramping Individual stocks has Rocks in His/ Her Head ..any Half decent broker will tell you , be careful ..Hold Cash , and Wait .

But like a desperate lap dancer at 4 am ( after a bad night ) some of these individuals have reason to RAMP the market . Its volitile stuff out there , It was never going to be any different .

Sit on cash ..with a tight eye on Resources ..and Wait / Wait / Wait .

    Never follow obvious Ramps .
