Take that all the people who assume were all victims and were forced into dancing!

^^I just don't see how this hogwash continues. Smart chick looks at the industry and says wow I can make a LOT of money, pay for my student loans, maybe fund my hobbies or true passion in life, have a kick-ass schedule, <add your stripper perk here>.....
No brainer to me. Additionally, I just wanted to use the word 'hogwash'.

IMHO this says more about the 'straight' job market opportunities available today than it does about the true intentions of the 'strippers' covered in the UK survey.

Some people's attitudes are just crazy. For the most part i think it's a lack of exposure to the industry and anyone that works within it, that breeds the need to make assumptions and perpetuate myths. The lady hit the nail on the head - so long as the woman has made a conscious, willing CHOICE to work as a dancer, and she is working in a decent place (or has the sense to move somewhere else if it's not), then it's just like any other job EXCEPT she has the added bonuses of choosing her own hours, making at least double the money, and keeping fit in the process (people forget that lol).
Personally, although i'm not a dancer (don't think i'd have the confidence or patience), I made the choice to become a webcam girl AFTER getting my degree, masters, AND having worked my way up to the top in sales/ normal work. The only reason I didn't do it sooner is because I didn't even know such jobs really existed, or at least weren't open to the majority of us!! Once I saw the money that could be made from so few hours/ effort, it was a no-brainer.
Still look on the bright side, the more people continue to think like they do, the less competition dancers have![]()

I finished mine not too long ago, yay!!!
I'm not surprised. I had two AA degrees when I was dancing. Now I just finished my bachelor's. Dancing enabled me to go to school and not be exhausted and stressed out like my other classmates who were working full-time jobs and going to school. Plus, I had enough money to still go out and have fun.
I have two degrees. Well a Bachelors and a Masters lol
