Will SM give me a 'Time Out' if I advertise Skype shows in my profile or in my Topic? Am I aloud to do that?

DO NOT DO THAT.
You may not get caught, or at lest not right away, but it's not allowed. Even if SM doesn't catch you, there are models who report other models.
Also, it says in the contract that you can't do that. If you think about it from their perspective, you are using their advertising and the resulting traffic, their hosting, etc. to advertise that you will do shows for less on another site and they will not get their cut.
I am not saying that I disagree with people doing this. Just answering the question.

Only do this if you want your account suspended. It is definitely not allowed.
If you want to advertise skype shows, do it on your own website / blog / twitter etc.

Basically, you are allowed to advertise your own sites (which I would assume includes twitter) as long as you don't offer alternate ways to pay for cam/chat time.NON-COMPETITION
Streamates agrees that Performer will be allowed to own and operate a personal website. Provided, that Performer agrees not to solicit customers and/or other Performers through his/her personal website that is or may be in direct or indirect competition with Streamates. Performer further agrees not to release any email addresses or web page addresses to anyone without the explicit approval of Streamates.
This is just like niteflirt's rules, or really any other site's - you can use your own sites to promote yourself and let your customers see more about you, but you can't point to your own sites/profiles/blogs from streamate/niteflirt/(insert camsite name here) if you offer OTHER ways to pay or if you promote yourself on multiple camsites.
I have my own website and use it to promote myself on niteflirt as well as to accept alternate means of payment. Therefore I can't link to my site from niteflirt or even my twitter, tumblr, etc because they all link back to my site where I offer different payment methods.
I hope that wasn't confusing. Basically if there is any way for customers to find other ways to pay you besides the camsite, you can't direct camsite customers to it.

^Good answer and makes sense to me. I thought about starting a Twitter or something like that but was afraid of what SM would do, but reading the way your wrote about it makes a lot of sense. As long as you're not offering payment methods on that particular page that you're sending the guys to, then it shouldn't be an issue. But if you showed other ways to pay on the page that you're directing them to, then that page is now in competition with SM.
Thanks![]()

Well, if you're linking from twitter to your website where you offer other payment methods, SM would probably consider that competition too. I know niteflirt does. Niteflirt considers any linking from any of their pages to any other ways to pay, no matter how far down or indirect, to be competition and against the rules.
