Does anyone else watch this show? It's totally become a guilty pleasure of mine haha. What are your thoughts in general about this show? What do you think about Kody? Which sister wife is your favorite? Let's discuss![]()

Is it back on again? It disappeared from my on demand choices.

I like the show too, but I'm not sure what to think of it. The feminist in me rages against the idea of polygamy but honestly all of those women seem genuinely happy. It could all be a front and maybe the husband is a major asshole behind closed doors but I doubt it.
I think it's funny how the older, fatter wives kinda look down on the newer, prettier brunette wife... it must be kind of a blow to the ego, wouldn't you think?![]()

haha I noticed that too... I also find his broad spectrum of taste in women interesting lol. the two who are plus sized were like that when he married them, so he must like women with some meat on their bones... on the other hand, Robyn is super skinny so I guess he likes thin chicks too, and Merri is in between. i just think it's sad that if anything were to happen, only Merri would be covered legally. But then again, all of them have children by him so he would at least get child support. It's entertaining, to say the least.

I hope they all have one hell of a life insurance policy on him to support all of them and their kids when he dies.

And, if something happened to him... Would the four wives go their separate ways? That would be so awkward... not to mention unfair to the kids since all of them (except 3 of robyn's kids) are all half-siblings and grew up together.

Lets just make Polygamy legal.
It's their choice right? As long as laws and hereditary claim is established the pooling of resources is a win/win for the adults and children.
^^ I think it should be legal. The only part I'm concerned about is whether or not the women have any say in the matter. It sounds like the women on this show do, but in other families it might be like, "Okay Rebecca, you just turned 18 so now you're gonna marry Joe Bob as his fourth wife, and he expects two boys" etc.
Also, it should obviously work for both sexes, if men can have multiple wives, then women should be able to have multiple husbands.
Multiple husbands might be kind of nice actually. lol.

I thought it was funny that he had 3 blondes then decided to go with a brunette as his fourth. Makes me wonder if he got sick of blonde? I think the first three are fat and the last one is the youngest and in best shape. Go figure.
I wish I could have two husbands!

I think it would be a great idea as long it doesn't go against someones will or they are trained into it..

The thing that irks me though about Kody ( I generally do like their family and everything) is that he claims that he practices polygamy strictly based on his "faith". However, the Mormon church has banned that so he's a part of the Fundamentalist movement... however, he doesn't follow any of the other rules! He still uses foul language, he dresses in clothes that, according to the fundamentalist church, are immodest... and he doesn't follow the doctrine to completion. It just seems hypocritical to me. If you want to go to bed with a different wife each night - fine, none of my business. But say you want to because you just want to, not under the misleading guise of "religion". Because the last time I checked, you can't just pick which parts you want to follow and which you don't.

I have... but history also shows a lot of consequences and discrepencies occuring when people do that. Anyway, I think you misunderstood me. I wasn;t really trying to say that it DOESN'T happen (technical error). But I don't think it should, it just seems to defy logic. If you believe in a perfect, authoritative Being, than why would only SOME of what they say (conveniently enough, the parts you like) be divine and truthful, when other parts would just be rubbish that you totally ignore? That's the part that doesn't make sense to me.

^^ Also, it seems like you are mistakenly using the word "religious" in place of "spiritual". Some people take concepts from other religions that speak to their own individual ideas of right and wrong, hence contributing to their spirituality - but it's not necessarily the same thing as religion. It's a very common mistake that most people make these days![]()
