Does it look bad when you are on too many sites?
I am on MFC, Cams.com, MGF, GodsGirls, and maybe Playboylive in the future...
Would that be too much? Or am I just over thinking my hustle? Any advice on working lots of sites (but not splitcamming).

I am on a lot of sites, because I am testing sites out that I have never tried before to see what works for me. I don't want to depend on one site, where I might not reach my goals, and since I am in a tight financial bind right now, I figured just try whatever sounds good, see what sticks.
Right now I am on:
MFC
MGF
Streamates
Modelsplash
Niteflirt
Secretfriends
I am only really active right now on MFC and Secretfriends and now MGF
Niteflirt hasn't worked for me as of yet, because I have to work on a nice HTML listing and I haven't had time to get that all done, plus I have to find my customers...haven't had time for that but would like to get it going eventually...
Streamates would be great if I had more traffic in my room, I am only getting a few in my room at a time. Maybe 10 at most. I try to use everything and enable party chat and use phone, the only thing I am not using is the HD Encoder. I guess that's why my traffic sucks not really sure. I probably need to put more hours on it though too and get some regulars, I can only cam during certain hours right now.
Modelsplash-signed up, haven't used it yet. But I am sure once I do that will be good pocket change.
Mygirlfund- I have only been on 36 hours. I have had 15 guys add me as a friend, and 6 emails. That's about it, still trying to learn the site, but I like the concept, kind of wondering why these guys add me as friends though, if they don't even try to contact me? Strange but whatever.
MFC and Secretfriends are my main sources of income for camming sites.
Other than that I have a regular part time job as a receptionist.
I see nothing wrong with trying different things out to see what fits. If anything makes good money for me, that is what I will stick with. Everything else is just a test run to see how I do, it doesn't mean I will do all of these all of the time.

Same here about streamate!! Damn the encoder. I only get like handful of people in my room. I looked for myself once and found myself on the 10th page!! I'm not used that!! On mfc I'm usually on 2-4 rows of the first page depending on the night!
I just started Cams.com but so far it has been awesome bout 50 people in my room without using the encoder!! I hope this keeps going well! I really don't want to depend on MFC only because its so hit and miss.
I'm gearing up to have my multiple sites so this winter when the boys are super horny I'll save up a nice cushion for me enjoy next summer when it slows down again.
Why would it look bad? To whom? Who's paying attention? Why care? The more checks you get rolling in, the better! As long as you can put in minimal effort to look professional on each site, I say spread yourself around. I sure do.

amen to this. especially if you have the capability to splitcam. (seriously, i feel like my life is on hold til i get a better computer and can splitcam...lol!)
some people say you shouldn't sign up for a lot of sites or spread yourself too thin. but there's no one around for it to "look bad" to - it's not like anyone is keeping track but you (or maybe your biggest fans, lol, if you have any). i only list the sites on my twitter and website that i'm actively camming on, and i try to be consistent and cam on the same few sites, but sometimes i like to switch it up. and i've gone through periods where i signed up on several sites at once just to push the paperwork through, with the intent to go back and try them later. i don't think there's anything wrong with that.
what IS a problem is when you put all your eggs in one basket, only sign up for one site, and then discover it DOESN'T work for you.

Nah, don't worry about it! If it works for you, then keep on doing it!!
I think it's better to be on more than one site, at least two or three anyway, because sometimes one can go downhill (for whatever reason) so you want to have other decent ones!!

Okay, this is a bit off-topic, but I keep seeing comments like these and they confuse me. If you'd rather PM me than respond here, for the sake of keeping the thread straight, that's fine.
How in the world could using the encoder possibly negatively affect your traffic? I used to work without it and now I work with it. Same amount of guys in my room. Using the encoder is supposed to positively affect your placement on the site, and I would think that guys would prefer HD. I have a great cam and I run HD but sometimes the icon doesn't show up. There are guys who come in telling me, "You'd do better if you ran HD" and then they leave. They're just being pricks, but that's what I mean.
Also, you only have 10 people in your room and that's really low traffic on SM? Maybe I'm just a low-volume model on SM, but I'm usually pretty far up on the list (well, back when I could check my placement) and I usually only have between 1 and 12 guys in my room at a time. The average is 5. When I do shows, the most I ever get in at one time is 6 guys and that's rare. When I do a gold show countdown, I have had up to 75 guys in my room at one time but I only average in the 30s. I know there are models on there who see up to 150 guys in their room but I think those are the girls who allow the customers w/o credit cards and I don't allow those guys.
When I read on here about MFC people having hundreds/(a thousand?) of guys in their room, I just can't even imagine what that would be like. It would be intimidating to me. But they are different sites. MFC seems to rely more heavily on the "free room" tipping aspect and, before gold shows, that was almost nonexistent on SM.

I don't think it's bad to sign up to a lot of different sites....It qould only "feel" bad if you are never on ANY of them, or put forth minimal effort on the ones you ARE on. I agree that it is best to put your cam profile links up on social media sites where you are 'currently' spending most of your time and switch them out when you start focusing more on different sites.
That way, whoever has been following you on Twitter (or whichever social media site is most likely to show your profile in a search for your stage name) should have the most current and up-to-date information.
Aside from that, if there's a 'sleeper' site that you've been meaning to go back to, it will be easier for you to want to do so when you're 'hand is still in the pot' so to speak, and you get a query, PM, tip, message, etc from that site from a potentially viable cam customer or the admins send an email about an upgrade or new feature which appeals to you or benefits your bottom line.

I dont think you can be on PlayboyLive unless youre a Playboy model. Unless they changed that.

Jess, I can't use the encoder so it crosses SM off my list of potential sites it just doesn't work for me. However Cams.com has been really great without their encoder, that's what I'm saying.
And anybody can sign up for PBL... I got accepted but I guess they want you to be exclusive so that's not gonna work! But that's okay.
I'm really glad you guys responded to me thread it makes me feel alot better. I have a few whales on mfc, and I don't want to piss them off by being less hopping around different cam sites when they want me on MFC.
But that really is none of their concern, and I'm gonna go HUSTLE I really want to do well on TWO sites not just one. You guys are completely right about eggs in the basket!![]()
I see people posting here about being on multiple sites including MGF- is that mygirlfund? If so I'm confused. I wanted to sign up there but got scared away when reading the agreement because there is a section on "non-compete" for something like 2 years. Am I missing something? I thought that looked like a really fun site where I could do some non-nude work, but I didn't like the idea of not being able to work on another site. (?)

^Just use a different name there than you use elsewhere, and don't mention your other camgirl names on MGF.

Yep. Sure does....
It's better when you pay attention to the custys and make them feel special...
some of them are smart and can pick up you are all over the place.
Making them feel special is KEY to the wallet.

MGF - non-compete...
don't make me laugh.
They just don't like it when you go to competition sites. As long as you keep your nose clean, keep it on the DL where you are and just make money and worry about that only, you are fine.
I have made almost $500 on that site tonight alone.
the only thing that looks bad is not making $$$
i was doing 2 sites at once yesterday ( as always lol) and someone told me "I know ur doing another site right now" and I said " I got big expenses " and he said " nothing but respect"![]()
I'm a little worried. If they find out u r on a different website, can't they sue you for a bunch of money because the non-compete contract is a legal document?
^ technically yes...but you are not worth the cost to go to court (none of us are).
"Achieving success is a challenge but so is struggling so you may as well choose success."

Again, just use a different name on MGF than you use elsewhere. I know someone who's account was NOT approved on MGF because she tried to sign up with her usual name, then when she signed up using a totally different name, account approved, no sweat. So just use a different name and don't do something stupid like post contact info, and you'll be fine.
Also I do believe the non-compete thing just means you can't use the same camgirl name that you use elsewhere, or do anything to lead their customers off the site.

When you say different name, do you mean screen name or nickname or both? Like for example {screenname NoobFlower/nickname Jessica} on one site, then {screenname SweetAngel/nickname Jessica} on MGF? or different nicknames too? I like using the nickname i have I love the name and its easy for me to remember lol
I always wondered that too! But I have come to the conclusion you are expanding to different men that are on various different websites, and gaining more of a following. Especially if you have a website, or twitter those men will find you and be repeat customers. In my opinion, as long as a site is making you $$$ then stay on that site.

Different names all around for MGF.
So, I was researching for something the other night and saw a girl on one site who was obviously split-camming because I could hear MFC tip sound in her room on the other site. So I searched and saw she was on several sites at once. While I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing, I think she was spreading herself too thin. She wasn't talking AT ALL, baredly typed anything to any of the rooms and was obviously just going on looks to make money, but her rooms were fairly inactive except people just staring at her and occasionally throwing out "feet bb, turn around, show tits" etc. I only heard her get one tip on MFC and no privates on any site.
Granted I didn't spend much time watching her (I was just distracted for a bit from my research of one particular site), but still, it just seemed like wasted effort. It was obvious the guys were pretty bored and just staring because she was hot but not really inspired to spend money.
I'm not saying anyone shouldn't split-cam, but in this example, I think it can be counter-productive if you spread yourself too thin and don't interact with your rooms a little. I had to wonder how much time this girl actually spent wriggling around for free quests on several sites rather than getting paid....
