    Default What is fair pay?

I was reading a thread here about how to steal customers from the cam site and there were some good ideas!

What would be a fair percentage for a webcam sites to pay models? I dont have a following yet so I need their traffic. But it seems like a lot of you have lots of fans.

Realistically I think these sites can be paying 50-60% without having an impact on traffic. There are sites that pay 70-90% but you have to drive your own traffic

^What site pays 90%? I haven't seen any camsite that pays that much.

I signed up at skinvideo but I couldn't find anything that tells exactly what % they pay, plus they have like almost zero cam traffic and very few models online. And while I'm trashing the site (ha), I think it's retarded that you apparently can't even write a short profile or any description of yourself and what you offer in your shows. Surfers just see an avatar of you and go straight to your cam room with no profile or description at all. meh

Niteflirt and adultwork pay 70% but niteflirt takes a lot of work and you have to bring a lot of your own traffic. On adultwork - that site is just too weird for me LOL. I haven't ever managed to sign in for cam there because the site is so user-UNfriendly, busy and just plain annoying to try and navigate. I've often wondered how customers manage to figure out how to spend money there, especially with their brains fogged by horniness LOL!

I think 60% is plenty fair for a camsite that promotes to bring its own traffic. I'm not inclined to steal customers from any camsite though, because their high take is largely advertising costs for the high traffic. Plus I can get my own traffic, and simply by using my same name on everything online, I make it easy for those who WANT to find me, to do so. So essentially I don't make any effort to steal customers because I don't have to - the guys who are really inclined to take it offsite can (and do) find me extremely easily

Also, I'm not going to dare try to direct camsite customers to me because I don't want to risk being banned from a site I'm making money on. No sense purposefully biting a hand that feeds you and all that.

Hell, I'd be happy with 50% as long as they covered cb's and you were allowed to sell pics, movies and such... oh and opt out of free chat

I know what you mean about AW, that's what has kept me from even signing up.

I'd say 50% is a good amount. I get that on SC and MFC so that makes me happy! I signed up on MGF which pays 65% but the traffic there isn't good. Or people just don't like me there, I dunno, but it isn't working out great for me :p Although the percentage is higher, I earn a lot less there!
