Yeah, with your passport etc I wouldn't think you would need your birth certificate anyway.

You only need your birth certificate if you're under 25.. I used my passport and still needed it ... I just don't want you to waste your time.. They arn't really forgiving... they have hundreds of people every day going in for a sherriffs card
I mean, you need a sherriffs card to work at all anywhere in vegas that sells alcohol or has gamling.. which is pretty much everywhere from the gas station to the casino.. so tell them you got some sort of other temp work. Waitressing for a big event? Promotional modeling or something ? But, you need the original.. GOOD LUCK
I like to party.. So I like my Jesus to party too.

Any time a person HAS to have a birth certificate, only the actual stamped/notarized copies are acceptable. No photocopies, scanned versions etc.
I do not know the rules regarding under 25's etc in this scenario so am not referring to that. I am just making a general statement in regards to the use of birth certificates for identification purposes.
You need an official notarized copy. Basic copies don't work. Vegas is really particular about Sheriff's cards, and like someone else said, they're needed to work in any sort of gaming/drinking establishment. I think the reasoning behind it is sort of to keep the criminals out of Vegas, or at least keep it from being super obvious.
Also, when I was there you needed a club to recommend you for the Sheriff's card, so you sort of have to get hired first, although once you have the sheriff's card you can work wherever.
Honestly...I don't know if you should go to Vegas. There's a lot of red tape, the business license costs $200, it's over-saturated with girls, the hustle is insane...and the money isn't what it used to be.
