    SO much!

I worked retail and its something I NEVER care to do EVER again!!

On your feet for 8+ hours a day doing all sorts of running around. I would come home SOOOO tired after a shift, my feet were always swollen!

When there is bad weather you have to manage and schlep yourself there regardless of how many inches of snow are on the ground, how hard its raining, if its 105 degrees.....and for me getting there was always half the battle. I had at least a 45 min commute on public transportation. FAIL!

    Working by other peoples schedules

having to call out and beg for a day off if your sick

    No flexibility!!

I hate being limited to 25 "vacation days" a year, tracked "sick days", set schedules, set "break times".....Why on earth can't I come in an hour early and leave an hour early? Or take a month off in the summer, or go on vacations several times a year? Why do I have to wait until a specific time to go for my lunch, when that has nothing to do with when I might be hungry?

Uniforms. I'm fairly alternative (I cam to pay my way through my tattoo apprenticeship, and I also pierce) and I doubt I could get a job anywhere these days without taking out about a pound of steel, which I do not want to do. Not because I want to have some big tantrum about my right to individuality, but because its really irritating to piercings to be constantly changing them, and I don't want to damage my work. I don't want to wear a suit. Or a colour-coded uniform. Or a name tag. I want to dress the way I feel on any given day.

Pets - My man and I are talking about getting a puppy, and I don't know what I would do if I wasn't at home to be able to take care of and train a new puppy. And walk him. And everything else that you can't do if you are out of the house from 8am till 8pm.

Sunny Days! - Its finally summer here, and there is nothing nicer than changing my schedule so that I can go on later and spend a couple hours drawing on the beach.,

In short - everything! I don't work so many hours that I am raking in the money, but I make more money in less time than I would in any other job, and it leaves me free to follow my art.
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.

Being sexualized anyway and not being paid for it.

Horny men mentally undress their hot female coworkers and fantasize about them shamelessly. At least when you're a cammer/dancer you can profit off of those fantasies. When you're stuck in an office position they get to look and leer at you for the same money that your male coworkers are making.

    Fuckers.

    1. I agree with you on that one! Good point.

    2. Another great point. In the career I was in before camming, I had to pretend to like every single person and had to watch every little thing I said.

    3. That's another thing. There's very little that I'm responsible for legally. In my career, I was in a position where the smallest mistake, overlooking one minor detail or forgetting to make one minor adjustment could result in a lawsuit for me or my employer.

    4. I'm a smoker and couldn't smoke where I worked (couldn't even be seen smoking) so I had to spend most of my lunch break driving around or sitting in another parking lot. I never ate lunch. And I never got to know my coworkers because of it. Now I can step outside whenever I want to smoke. I can take a two hour lunch break if I want.

    5. Bitchy people, rude people, insubordinate people. And people who think they're better than you/ like to exclude and ignore. I was in a position of authority but not at the top of the food chain. I had to constantly deal with people testing my authority and had to deal with disciplinary issues frequently. I don't like confrontation. There were also people who were into playing the power game, pulling rank/time in the job. I don't actually care about having power, so that always pissed me off. All the while you have to walk on eggshells & not point out to people what they're doing and how dumb it is. The ban/kick button is one of my favorite things about camming.
