Default How do you choose which guy to hustle?

I am still pretty new to dancing (been doing it a few months) and I often find I get stuck on which guy to approach. Normally I look for older guys who are there on their own or guys wearing glasses (I wear glasses too.) but after that, I never know who to go for. Who do you generally approach first? Is your strategy different depending on what they are wearing or how big the group of guys is?

I'm here to make money. NOT make friends, if I make a friend then it's a bonus.

I'd rather be absolutely ridiculous that absolutely boring

I can recognise what kind of guy I get along with easiest. A good hustler can hustle anyone, but some are easier than others. For me that's British/Norwegian/American men between 30 and 45. Not suit wearers, but more jeans with a nice shirt and possibly jumper. Long drink or wine/champagne in hand. Pays attention to the stage but isn't sitting right by it.
Some girls aim for the richest, best dressed customer. I find the biggest spenders are rarely the flashiest. Those that are truly rich can afford not to give a shit.

Hustle everyone. That's what I do and I've only been dancing for a month. I know that I may not get anywhere with a guy right from the start, but every guy is a chance to build up my hustling skills.

I start at the closest one and then do a circle to where I was before asking everyone until I get someone to go with me.

Must be nice to truly have a choice who to hustle. In my club its more cutthroat than that right now.

Given a choice, I go for the one who looks friendliest or who has been tipping more, or whonis looking around the club like "when is a girl gonna come over here and give me a dance?". An open body language is also a good indicator.

Generally speaking I tended to go first towards the guys who looked like the type I attracted: older, professional men (or obviously blue collar men). This was especially true if a guy was overweight and un attractive. This of course was only in a club that's crowded. If there is only one customer I go to him even if he's not my type.

I also tended to wait a few minutes and scooped him out. I generally would not attack a man as soon as he came in because I found many guys hated that. If I was going to dance soon I waited until then because I always got customers from it. I also kind of watched to see what he did and even sometimes looked at drinks he ordered and whether he tipped.

I often go for guys who I have seen many other girls pass on hustling but who have been sitting around for a while (excluding the club regulars who I know never to spend). Often they're not dressed fancy, may not have an alcoholic drink (sometimes only a bottle of water), etc. Since they haven't received any attention, they're usually ready to spend once I hit them up! I guess this sort of coincides with what the other girls have posted about the fanciest dressed guy rarely being the biggest spender.

One mistake I've often seen dancers make is going for the hottest man dressed nicely. My experience has been that these guys rarely spend that much money. One exception are the guys who come in during lunch or right after dinner and it's obvious they are on break. Some of these guys do spend.

I always go for the men that will return my smile and eye contact. I usually sit at the bar at the beginning of the night and try to say hello to every guy that walks past. If they return the hello or smile then I know they're interested. I let them get their drink, have a few sips then I go over and introduce myself.
When I'm onstage I keep an eye out for anyone that is watching me and approach them afterwards. Always pay attention to the guys that tip you and watch where they sit. Go over, thank them for their tip and ask for a dance. It works 90% of the time.

First I approach whoever glanced at me that looks promising, then the window shoppers who look like they are eager to buy & ready.

this is the obvious answer and i sincerely don't know how anyone makes money when it seems like so many dancers are not paying attention to the men paying attention to them.

go to the guy that's ogling you! that is a thirty second sale! he already wants you. ladies, i am categorically against hard work or effort or any bullshit like that. just pay attention your surroundings.

I hit my general demographic first to make the most I can, then I try everyone else after. I also like to try & hustle men I'm attracted to as well -I've noticed the natural chemistry will usually work in my favor.

It's automatic for me. I don't know how I pick em.

I've been picking pretty good lately though.

Yup.. whoever is looking at me. Lately I won't even bother approaching anyone unless it's clear they're interested. But I only work really busy nights, I haven't worked a slow night in ages.

I couldn't really generalize too much the type of man I approach at work. I work day shift and my customers tend to be in their 40's and 50's (I hate young guys - so immature and cheap usually) and have a neat, casual look.

I'm not very good at reading social cues, but I have taught myself some body language signals that have a lot to do with who I go over to. Having an alcoholic drink is a good sign. So is facing the stage, tipping occasionally, and looking at the passing girls. Eye contact is a major signal most times. If they're looking right at you, they probably want to talk to you specifically. If they tip you on stage, then definitely go and talk to them (unless they're just sitting at the tip rail tipping everyone)! You can always smile and open with, "Thank you for the nice tip!" to start off.

I guess I introduce myself to anyone who looks inviting. I just make sure to ask something like, "Would you like some company?" before sitting down. That way I don't waste either of our times if he has his mind set on someone else.

I approach the young white guys first. But I work where military are abundant.

If I were you I would try approaching as many customers as possible and over time you will discover who you typically make the most money off of. And of course go for the ones who appear interested in you first.

I was wondering about this. i assume this would normally only apply to coastal states, or areas maybe close to large lakes? at the clubs here in mobile we look at guys shoes first. guys with deck shoes and no socks are 98% of the time big spenders. then the guys in dress shoes/suits. next would be the guys with work boots, like construction workers. then the flip flop/casual shoe guys. lastley the guys in tennis shoes. maybe its just the south east, but its usually the best way to choose.

I hustel EVERY SINGLE GUY IN THE ROOM. You cant judge just by looking at a guy how much money he has and how much hes willing to spend. Ive been with guys in suits who take me for 3 songs and who refuse to even give me a tip! But then ive been with guys who are in jeans and t or who look WORSE than that and buy 10 dances off me and give a tip. Also its truly a numbers game the more guys you ask the more yes's youll get. Its only on lucky nights that ive appraoched 2 guys and made my goal.

yeah, a few of my best guys have been young that I thought for sure would only go for 1 or 2 songs. One of my best nights at this club was because of one table of guys - all UNDER 25!! I left that night with almost 1200$.
