Default how to keep my knees pretty??

ok so my knees are so swollen and have these HUGE ugly reddish bruises on them. But they are like on the inside of the knee...its weird. they hurt like hell...and almost feel tight (i guess from the swelling)

I prefer to do floor work. So how the hell do you keep them from getting all ugly and bruised? Knee pads is a no go...I wear stockings but that doesnt help, it just covers. Is there like a certain way to put pressure on them or something? Or will eventually they get used to this and toughen up? thank you!

Oh and is there a way for me to get these bruises to go away faster??

Unfortunetly that is not an option. So any advice that could actually help me that pertains to my specific questions would be appreciated.

Hey hun, try this tutorial. I havent tried her advice, so I dont know if it's of much help. I know EXACTLY how you feel though.

My knees get SO banged up, and I've actually been having knee troubles from it. Lately I've been doing floorwork upright. Try new moves that allow you to keep off your knees - it gives you a good opportunity to be creative! You could try small kneepads under your socks (I've seen girls do that). I'd love to hear more advice on this too!

They will toughen up. But until then try Arnica Montana creme. It helped with my bruising and swelling when I had my boob implant surgery. They have pills as well..

You can also freeze a few metal spoons and take them out at the end
of the night and massage the bruise with the rounded part to help disperse
the blood and bring in new blood to heal.

I also find applying a really minty toothpaste and some sarran wrap to keep
it from being messy cuts down the length of the bruising by like 2/3. Wear it
when you sleep and whenever you can.

The real thing to worry about is fluid in your knee and injuries that
are goingto cause long term pain and scarring in your knee.

For that I would recommend one of the thick, spongey knee pads
and softball socks over your knee. Yiu can wear them with regular heels
although I'd recommend cutting a hole in the foot of the sock to increase grip
so your foot doesn't slip. Otherwise wear the kneepad and socks with boots.

Eventually you won't bruise as easily but remember you WILL still be jarring and injuring
your knees. So consider how much you like the aesthetics of pretty bruise free knees for a
couple of years versus being able to walk without pain for more years after you hang up the heels.

^^^ Arnica is good but I prefer to use the mouth spray from the chemist.
