Default why can't they just say "no, thanks" ?

i mean, everybody knows notorious "maybe later" line.. but how about

"oh i just got here" [damn right you just got here, so what?? let's get the party started!]
"oh i want to finish my beer/ or get a drink" [need liquor courage? get a shot and lets go!]
"oh come back in 10-20 minutes" [like im gonna set my alarm for 10 minutes and come back.. WTF is gonna change in 10 minutes?? lets go right now and in 10mins we will go again!]
"i will call you when im ready, whats your name again?" [pfff.. the most absurd lie ever!! no comments on this one"..

or have you met guyz who pretend like they from europe and dont speak any english??

this is just so stupid and irritating.. how do you guyz deal with that?

We will always here those lines but I tend to just say hi to guys and look for who is checking me out. If I look at them and they smile then I know they are already interested in me. So going to a LD is easier or almost guaranteed. Just being friendly and nice works well.

In VIP/Champagne I like to waitress and if they guy wants me to sit then he has to buy a bottle... the guys in Champagne rooms know they have to spend and they do. I don't have to hustle in VIP since I'm not competing with 20 other dancers so to speak. And being friendly to guys is a plus.

Dude, use those responses you typed down there if you're ballsy enough! I can totally see a girl flirtily saying those in response to these excuses... but it would only work if you could pull it off without sounding pissed and bitchy lol

1)"oh i just got here" -- 'well how about you get your night started with a dance, even just one!' (sexy face/rubs customers shoulders/thigh etc) (usually they will forgot you said only one and go for more dances)
2)"oh i want to finish my beer/ or get a drink" -- With this one u can try saying (only if the club is slow) 'Oh, that's fine...I can hang out while u finish your beer' ..When their beer is half done/after 5-7 mins I will say something like 'how about you just take your beer with you and lets go have some fun!' ...This does not ALWAYs work, depends on the guy/their mood etc. But I have had good success with it.
3)"oh come back in 10-20 minutes" -- I look at my watch "Ok I will be back at *:**(20 mins from that time) exactly..i promise ' ...Then I try my best to come back at that exact time. When I return to the table after 20 mins I don't even sit down I just lean over behind them, rub their chest and say 'so you ready to come play?' Usually works .
    4) "I will call you when I'm ready"....this one's a write off for me. One piece of advice though is never walk away looking pissed off. I always smile and say ok sweetie, because u never know if they will actually come for a dance later, even if u have to approach them.

Also, the guys that pretend not to speak english I usually just ask them for a dance right away (as to not waste my time)...Ill point at them then me and then to the VIP/LD room. I duno wat to do with these ones, LOL.

    Hope this helps

Because they don't know how to say NO just like a lot of women don't know how to say NO.

On the opposite spectrum there is a fine art of turning NO into money.

    "oh i just got here"
If the guy seems friendly, I'd come back in like 30 minutes or so, tell him I'll be on stage soon (only when the DJ says "Joey, stand by"), or just ignore him if he seems indifferent. In the mean time, I'll try some other customer. I had several customers that had used that line that end up buying dances from me.

"oh i want to finish my beer/ or get a drink"
This one seems pretty reasonable since in most bars I work they only serve beer and wine. I usually tell him: "well, because you seem to prefer the beer over me, you'll have to go to the VIP after X amount of beers (the more beers, the more time I'll tell hm)". It had worked for me a few times. Of course, in the mean time, I'll ask someone else, or I'll just fix myself.

"oh come back in 10-20 minutes"
Oh, this is one of my "favorites". If a customer insists in me coming back to him in a specific interval of time, I'd set the time interval for him. For example: "right now is 10:37. So and so wants to do a 10 minute VIP (whether is true or not), I'll be back at 10:50, ok. See ya at 10:50". If I feel like it, I'll come back; most of the times I do get the dance, and is usually that ten minute dance. If I lied about giving a dance, I'll be doing something else (like eating, or giving a cheaper dance).

"i will call you when im ready, whats your name again?"
This one? My answer? "I'm Joey, and if you're not ready now, GTFO of this club!"
I used this one on a customer, and the he wrote on TUSCL that I was rude. Well, he was rude first, right?

or have you met guyz who pretend like they from europe and dont speak any english??
I once got a similar one (the guy was Mexican, though), and I told him in perfect Spanish: "acaso te crees que todas las bailarinas somos unas putas descerebradas, canto de pinche pendejo taca~o?" (it means: "do you really think all dancers are a bunch of skanky bimboes, you fucking cheap idiot). He felt so stupid that he gave me twenty bucks right away, but no dances.

I never come back when they say maybe later, or 10 minutes or whatever.. way too many other guys who are willing to do a dance right then and there for me to remember some db who doesn't have the balls to say no thanks. My club is a busy one.

In my time of dancing I've learned that those excuses are EXCUSES FOR BEING BROKE.

They sound like nice ways of saying I'm not into you. I just find someone who is.

I'm here to make money. NOT make friends, if I make a friend then it's a bonus.

I'd rather be absolutely ridiculous that absolutely boring

Walk away. This behavior is beyond rude and these guys are going to be next to impossible to get anything out of. It's the most definitive "no" you'll ever get besides someone being a loud jackass and laughing in your face. If that's really their MO for treating girls, why would you want to sit with them anyway? Don't sit with guys who completely ignore you. It won't lead to anything, and it just sucks to eventually get up and walk away after sitting there with someone not even looking at you for several minutes. I did this once and regretted it. It made me feel like a total fool, and the guy was probably thinking the same thing...
