I have problems with mine and I'm sorting then out. Salt Water gargling does seems to help. This was recommended to me by a doctor and it does seems to help in my experience. I've had strep and been an anti-bitoics for mine twice, so it might be different issure, but the salt water thing might help. I'm guessing you don't have insurance ( I don't either ) or you would have already been in for this ?

It sounds like tonsillitis (and if it is you really need to see a doctor and get some antibiotics in order to treat it).

Hope you feel better soon x

You need to get those puppies taken out. I had the same thing one or the other would swell up every so often then go away. I would get colds frequently and I just thought it was normal. Eventually I started to get little white balls in my mouth & I constantly had a bad taste to my mouth then both tonsils swelled up and it was hard to swallow. My family Dr didn't catch it before but I went to a specialist who took one look and scheduled me for surgery. Did they d a blood test? were your WBCs elevated?

Sounds like an infection, honestly. Did the doctor tell you anything useful?

I would say oil pulling, lysine (if it's possibly viral) and garlic (which attacks everything.)

If you don't mind being stinky, try the garlic cures for a couple of days. Otherwise, the coconut oil remedy sounds good. You could also try to gargle with hydrogen peroxide. Are the lymph nodes on the side of your neck sore, swollen? Any sinus issues at all?

Colloidal silver spray; kills bacteria, helps pain, brings down swelling, antiseptic. I use it to get rid of strep.

^That's true. Also good. I hate how expensive it is without a CS maker though.

It's only my right tonsil, the left never gets swollen, my tongue is normal, and the tonsil itself is a normal color. I got it checked last year (same problem) and nothing came up. It's really bothering me, does anyone know what this is? Any suggestions on how to get the swellness down?
Go to the doctor as soon as possible and have it tested. Its a lymph node after all, so it means there's an infection somewhere. Take probiotics daily.

I literally chug that stuff when I have any sort of sore throat lol. However, it doesn't do much if you already have some sort of infection. It's more like a prevention thing, I've noticed. It's a natural antibiotic, but not very strong.

Yes!!! Try this!!! I was having the same issue this week, I just had the sore throat and swollen glands, and it was hurting to swallow, I think it's caused by an infection, from the common cold. It sounds like that's what you have, or strep throat.

I gargled salt water and it worked!!! I feel better, it's completely gone! It really works!! This happened this week too. It went away in 3 days.

So here is what I did. Put 4 ounces of water in cup with a tablespoon of salt. Heat the cup in the microwave for 30 seconds, the water has to be warm but not hot, and then gargle 2-3 times a day. I am not kidding this worked, and I didn't take any cold medicine or anything. I did however take a multivitamin to fight off whatever it was that was causing this and I feel 110% better!

Try it and let us know how it works for you!! This was my first time using this method, and I will for sure use it again in the future if I get this again. Saves you time, money, and prescription costs!

I have to say though, if you don't feel it improving, you need to get it checked out!

    Good luck!
