^ Ha, ha that last girl has an alien sized head. You already have a sexy nice look. I don't think you are girl next door that is plain jane to me. Maybe die your hair a darker chestnut color and go to mac and bring a picture and have them do your makeup like that and watch how they do it and purchase the products. Have your brows done professionally brows make a world of difference for instance( meagan fox) and get some good products for your hair so you can maintain the look they do at home. I think your very pretty btw but those are some easy things you can start with.

I'd love to look half as good as you! I have the same issue with my hair so not sure how to help there, but eyebrows have a huge effect I reckon. One of the girls at my club pencilled over another girl's eyebrows (that were blonde and didn't stand out much) and she looked so much more sophisticated. So keeping them looking sleek seems important. I also found today an eye makeup box with instructions in the cover on how to create a glam day look- there were about 4 different shades of brownsand bronze and a layering and shading technique, but it wasn't over the top or anything. Definitely better than just a smudging of brown or whatever. There's a brilliant geordie woman on youtube who does great eye makeup tutorials. But definitely try out the make up people in a department store for tips, I keep meaning to do that!

Well for that first girls hair, you can get that using some smoothing mousse and a curling iron. It looks like she only curled the ends though.

Her foundation looks like it almost 100% matches her skin. If you think you're too pasty I'd recommend a spray tan-I am against tanning beds because of skin cancer. Her eyebrows are groomed. I prefer threading for my eyebrows. She also matched her eyebrows to the darker tones in her hair.

She also used a peachy colored blush and has on fake eyelashes, I think. Black liner all around the eye even into the corners, with eyeshadow to mirror the blush. It looks like she put some bronzer on her cleavage as well. Light pink lipgloss. Doesn't appear that she is wearing lip liner.

If you want a more polished look, start with getting your nails done professionally to see what they do. I only get a prefessional manicure done every few months to trim my cuticles, as a kind of touch up. I don't do fake nails, although many girls love them. I personally love to change up my polish colors.

After nails, check you hair. You say your's gets greasy if you use a smoothing serum? They have some here in the states that come in a spray bottle. I prefer those it keeps my hair less greasy. Also using a mousse before heat styling helps to de-frizz hair. Maybe explain to a stylist what you want, watch, take notes, etc. You can imitate the effect at home. If your ends gets frizzy, maybe they're split ends and you need an actual haircut not just a trim? I think some layering with some caramel highlights could be gorgeous and not wash you out.

anyways, going to a professional and watching what they do is a serious helper, as is YouTube! I love some of the makeup tutorials I find on there.

You are gorgeous! I wouldn't call you girl next door at all. But since you want to go a bit more glam then try thick fake eyelashes, nude lipstick with shiny clear gloss on top and then just figure out how to curl your hair like the girl in the first pic. I think your skin already has a nice tan color so no tanning is needed. You look great as is though

I think the look you're going for is very manicured, with shiny, healthy hair, glowing skin, white teeth and perfect eyebrows. I'd say:
    - Have your eyebrows done at a good salon in your area regularly, fill them in a little with a matching brow powder.
    - Get regular facials and peels for glow-y skin. Use an illuminating foundation (tinted moisturizer if you can get away with it for everyday).
    - Maybe a shine treatment for your hair? You can set it with big rollers for the body-wave style in the picture you posted. A light mist of shiny hairspray will set your waves.
    - Have your teeth fixed/whitened.

Yeah, its high maintenance but once you start doing these things you'll realize that its necessary for the look you want. I love this very perfect, manicured look as well.

I have almost the exact same colouring as you, except my hair/brows are a little darker. I like MUFE's brow powder in "auburn" for my brows. You'll have to search for a foundation that gives the effect you want. For hair like that, I use a shine spray and some mousse (I like the organix one). Zoom'll get your teeth that white and the make-up is pretty simple. You can get a shine treatment done at any hair salon.

PS. You're beautiful! Not GND, at least in the picture you posted.

I like your look, but you don't exactly stand out. I totally get it. You want people to do a double take, without looking cheap strippery.

My suggestion: Leave your look as is, just add gorgeous, eye catching jewelry. Long earrings, necklace, or bracelets up the arm. Even when ur nekked, it will reflect and grab customers attention.

This should be very easy for you!

Get a good deep conditioner, and do it once a week. Wash your hair so you have time to air dry it. I haven't blow dried my hair in a year and it's pretty amazing right now. So with that as a starting point:

    - Glaze your hair to brighten it up. I usually do a semi-permanent dye or a glaze so it doesn't damage my hair as much and I can switch it up without much incident. Right now I haven't dyed it in a year (this year was hair restorative year for me), but really- a glaze can seal that shiny look you're going for. This photo is a great before and after:

Try John Frieda's glaze if you want, but I always use this brand:

    - Invest in some good big hot rollers. I love them.
I had this set for awhile:

...which work well but I prefer the ones with sponge or velvet or some kid of fuzzy on them:

Rollers are less damaging than irons, and take less time. They create bigger, fluffier waves and I find them to be more versatile.

    - As far as your skin, my skin is really easy so I use this lotion on my face:

.. But that makes a lot of people break out. I use it to remove my eye makeup too, and don't ever put soap on my face. I'm really not kidding when I say I never break out. I do exfoliate gently with a clean warm washrag every other day, drink almost exclusively water (sometimes I'll go out and have a few drinks, or sometimes I will have milk with dinner.. I do drink a huge ass iced coffee in the morning), and eat lots of good fats. To be honest, my skin is best when I'm eating an avocado a day.

    - WEAR SUNSCREEN EVERY DAY. I've done this since I was 15. I am now 29 and a lot of people guess me around 23-24. It makes a huge difference! Buy either lotion with SPF in it or add a tiny bit of it to your daily moisturizer.

    - Invest in a loose gold shadow. I like this one:

... It only takes a dab. One pot will last me 6 months. A sheer sweep of gold in the corners of your eyes, over your regular eyeshadow (Ive even worn it over black), or by itself with fake lashes really brightens up your whole face.

    - For that lash look, get individual lashes. That's what is often used. It takes time, but the result is totally worth it.

That's all I've got for now.

I think you have a the bone structure to pull off English aristocrat perfectly, try that look. Play up your cheeks, jaw, especially nose with contour. As medio said, gold eyeshadow. I do a modified marilyn/blue blood society woman look with gold and taupes on corner&crease with a pearlized cream on browbone and tapped on inner eyelid to just where the outer edge of iris would be. I prefer strong brows to punch up the statement factor with it.

As for hair, extensions for fullness or lift at roots when blowdrying and blast the hell out of it while pulling TAUNT.

You already look amazing ! Its taken me years to figure out exactly what works for my hair/skin and makeup. Lots of trial and error. I suggest makeupalley.com. I always check them out before I spend lots of money on products. I suggest kerastase nectar thermique. Expensive but it works well to help with frizzy dry hair. Invest in a ceramic round boar brush. I also recommend the brand Ojon, expensive again but I've had luck with all the products. ( I have red, thin, frizzy, crazy hair) I usually spend about 20 min for a blow out every morning, it lasts for about 2 days on me. If your hair is dull and flat looking try washing it less? Or do a wrap with vitamin E and EVOO. Also, I had the worst time doing my eyebrows.. very thin barely there... until I went to sephora and had someone show me how to actually fill them in. I look SO much better now from something as simple as eyebrows. Google makeupgeek on youtube and watch her vids. Good luck, feel free to PM me if you want anymore recommendations on products or just ideas in general.
