if i were physically able to frown, i would be frowning right now. but i'm fairly certain you've posted on here before about telling everyone whether they care or not about you being a sex worker. if this was a different college student, then dismiss...
so you want to play the stripping for college card and ask for scholarship money at the same time?
^don't totally get that post but coulda been me maybe not? but either way my opinion on who knows whether i dance has changed a ton since I started so it could have been me...a year ago? not sure.
I'm still curious if anyone has done this before though and if it got any results? I know I've read about girls using it on uni applications before and them getting accepted into their program, etc
and yes, that was the idea, but not in such a general cliched sense, more of a way to illustrate ambition like "hey, I am willing to do what it takes to be successful, even if it is not a typical path/means of achieving it." if you are questioning why it makes sense that I am dancing but still am applying for scholarships: dancing is more money than other jobs, but scholarships are free money, period. and if dancing to pay for uni doesn't demonstrate financial need I don't know what does?
ok whether shes a bitch or not, you do not mention you are a sex worker. it would look like you are proud of it and they will think youre nuts.
some of us sex workers are in this industry so much that we forget that we are a subculture and whats normal to us is not normal to the mainstream.
^as a "sex worker" who has always kept a majority of myself in the "mainstream" for the entirety of my time dancing, i'm a little bit offended. I am very much in touch with reality, which is why I stated in the original post (which yes, I realise I deleted) that it was an IDEA. as a means to STAND OUT. As in, I came up with the idea as a means to draw attention to myself because it is a uniquce life experience and if described with the proper connotation could have a chance to illustrate good personal qualities. It's not like this is an application for the Young Christians Award Bursurary, my uni is pretty liberal. I recognize that this idea was out-there, and obviously won't be doing it knowing who the audience of the letter is going to be, had the decision been in the hands of a panel of people that I do not know, nor would ever have to speak to again, I would still be considering it. Sometimes crazy shit works.

This should just be common sense. No.

I'm sorry but I have to agree with Jojo. Its easy to forget that most folks, especially women will frown upon this.
