Default I would like a camera that offers remote pan, zoom, tilt

So I have come into a bit of money from camming (well actually a lot of money, but I will get into that later today/tomorrow when I have time).

I would like to get a new webcamera that offers remote pan, zoom, tilt, etc. I have read something about the sony evi or something like that but have several questions.

    1. How is the set up?

    2. Do I have to mount it to a wall?

    3. Is it compatible with a mac?

Also if it means anything I would like to keep this little venture to less then $1,000 ideally less then $500.

Sorry for bringing this one back up, but I have heard getting a camcorder with firewire would work as well too?

I am seriously considering the Sony EVI, but I want to know if this is the best option for me considering I use a mac.

BellaBellini, she's very knowledgeable using Sony EVI for Mac. I asked her some questions about it on the thread up above.

So I did some clicking around on ebay and found this:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sony-EVI-D10...28969028658704

Thoughts anyone? Would this work with a mac? Would I need to buy a mic?
