Default Eating more antioxidants for "safer" tanning?

I'm the type of stripper who does the bare minimum when it comes to getting ready. I shit, shower and shave, do my hair, and apply mascara and I'm out the door, ready for work. I just had my second session of tanning today in the highest quality bed my salon has to offer and while I know that tanning is horrible for me, I am going to continue with it anyway. Today, I applied an oil-free SPF 15 under the Australian Gold Satin D Sol tanning lotion the girl sold me on, which BTW smells of tropical heaven.

I wanted to know by those who tan in a bed, if you have some sort of ritual before or after tanning? I am going to quit social smoking and drinking, as well as upping my antioxidant intake. This also includes applying organic extra virgin olive oil to my skin after I shower. Although this doesn't completely prevent the risk of cancer, this should have some benefit rather than not doing anything at all. What do you think?

I usually like to exfoliate my skin before tanning. Apply regular body lotion and go to the tanning salon. At the tanning salon I use the tanning lotion and go in. I usually cover my hair though.

After tanning I prefer to wait to shower or wait till the next day. I apply a lot of lotion after as well.

I remember reading about polyphenols being especially helpful in regards to sun damage. So drinking green tea or applying it topically somehow, the polyphenols actually build up in your skin and protect from the UV damage.

You can say that again.. not just on here but men in general. Guys are so damn lame, the only way they can halfway make up for it is by opening their wallets.

I'm sun burnt from going to the beach on Saturday so no tanning for me. I just started fake tanning but I love it, it is so relaxing to me, its like being in a sauna.
I personally apply an SPF 15 thing I got from CVS. I know it sounds cheap, but I used to not put on anything at all, just my regular lotion.
I never knew that eating anti-oxidants could help. I eat blueberries often because my daughter is always eating them...........
Sooooooooo anyways I like to shower before I tan, because I try to wait several hours before I shower again after tanning.
I have also heard that olive oil mixed with sunblock does wonders for your skin and actually makes you tan beautifully. I tried it once but don't recall it being awesome, but then again I am really bad at re-applying after getting out of the water (which explains why I am currently sunburnt).

Exfoliating the night or morning before you tan will help you tan evenly. Plus, use moisturizer twice a day. This will help your tan last longer and will keep your skin from drying out.

About the SPF...I'm curious as to why you think this is beneficial. SPF protects your skin from UVA/UVB rays, true, but it also inhibits your tanning, which means you have to spend more time in a bed to achieve the same results. A tan is the sun damage you seem to be trying to prevent.

I would recommend forgoing to SPF, eating more leafy greens and berries, and spending less time in the bed.

I'm actually getting good results using an SPF 15 in the bed. Whether or not it protects, it still gives me a piece of mind knowing I'm using some sort of protection.
