Default What is the best way to make customers approach you instead of you approaching them?

Lately I've noticed that I get more expensive dances or more time in a VIP when the customer is the one who ask me for dances instead of me asking them for dances.

The times that it had happen, it had been so random that I don't even know what caused them to approach me for dances. Is not a rare occurrence, but I want this to become the norm rather than "every now and then".

What should I do to ensure this keeps happening more and more?

Look hot but also give off a playful sexy vibe. Most men that come into the clubs are intimidated by beautiful women and think because we are beautiful we are stuck up so they are for the most part a little scared to appraoch us. If you give off a very playful and fun vibe guys will be much more willing to approach you but you also have to keep it sexy so they remain attracted to you

I'm here to make money. NOT make friends, if I make a friend then it's a bonus.

I'd be more aware of eye contact and then inviting body language (some men know exactly what they want physically and you happen to fulfill that = right place right time) ... plus I believe women are more subconsciously attractive to men around ovulation time

Definitely this. And while it's generally good to look busy and chat with staff/other dancers, I always try and sit or stand alone for some time because then I'm actually approachable. Many patrons are too nervous to approach you when you're with someone else or feel rude doing so, so they simply won't. Be alone, make flirty eye contact, smile at everyone, and look like you're happy to be there (no need for a stupid grin, but a small smile instead of a bored look will go a long way).

Also, be careful about how you occupy yourself. Like, I'll often just sit there and glance around the club or look at nearby TVs or something, but sometimes I'll bring a crossword or newspaper. Those are when I'm most often approached. If I'm playing on my phone though, I don't get approached. It goes back to the customer not wanting to interrupt you. Some still will, but the easier you make it for them to come up with you and not awkwardly stand there trying to get your attention, the more likely it is to happen.

It really mostly is a matter of being in the right place at the right time and having the look the patron is looking for though, so this won't be the best hustle tactic in most clubs where other girls will approach those sitting alone and so you have to do the same instead of sitting around waiting for money to fall into your lap.

Not all places allow dancers to be topless in the floor. There are places where you can only be topless on stage or at the room where dances are given.

So weird, 3/4 of the time I have been approached and asked to do dances, I was talking with someone else, a group of dancers or while I'm with another customer(which can be awkward to accept especially if the customer you are sitting with is going to spend more money on you) and they came and interrupted me to ask lol

The rest of the time I think I was on stage or was standing alone briefly, trying to look approachable, not bored. Just tried to make eye contact and be flirty.

Be careful with this method. You may end up getting a more expensive room, but in waiting for someone to approach you, you may waste a bunch of time (and time = money). So it may feel like you're making more money for less effort, but at the end of the night, you'll end up with less money for less effort.

Personally, I'm an aggressive hustler, so I don't wait for people to come up to me. I consider it my job to assume that they'll want a dance with me after a quick chat; it's part of my job to approach them so they aren't left sitting there hoping I'll come over or chickening out of approaching me. If someone isn't ready or doesn't want to talk, then I back off and move on to the next.

From my perspective, it's like if you walk into a restaurant and sit down, and the waiter doesn't come over to your table at all, so you're forced to walk over to him to place your order. It's rude! Cultivating this mentality of "it's only polite to offer my services to customers" helps girls get over their nervousness of hustling, too.

It's just important to find balance (as with anything). And this depends on the type of club you're in, too. I know some clubs discourage hustling.

Low-pressure clubs are more common than no-hustle clubs. It just creates a different (better in some ways, worse in others) environment for customers. It also in effect 'trains' the customers to behave differently - they learn that they're the ones who have to approach the girls, etc. I'd imagine that as far as cattiness goes, it'd probably be nice to work in a no- or low-hustle club. I might actually befriend some of the girls if I worked in a club like this! And it'd be easier going in to work knowing that you don't have to put yourself out there as far as a sales pitch goes. It'd be emotionally easier to do in some ways. But it seems like the money-making potential would be far lower...

Jay12 - what's the scenario you're thinking of for your OP? Is this after you've approached customers for dances and no one is biting - that's when you want them to approach you? Or do you work at a no- or low-hustle club? Or are you just a bit shy and would prefer customers to approach you? Just wondering so we can give more targeted advice.

i don't get non-hustle clubs.. i mean a lot of guys who come into clubs are too shy and socially akward to approach women and have real relationships in real life so they come in here to be approached by beautiful women. that's part of the fantasy of the strip club! i've known some whales who sat in the corner looking extremely grumpy and non-approachable who come out of their shell and light up when you show interest. they just don't have the guts to approach themselves..i've been approached a fair amount by some customers, but if i hadn't approached i would lose out on SOO much money! wow i've said the word "approach" way too many times...geeze lol

Make eye contact, smile, own the room, engage the customer/s during your stage set. If you do this and they don't approach you, at least you have gauged their interest and can approach them if they don't have the courage.

This was posted on September of 2011, at the height of my dancing career; where I'd be dancing five or six days a week. These days, I'm not dancing too much because of my left knee (I attend physical therapy for it). However, I do appreciate the input in this thread; I can certainly use the tips for when my knee is better.

Thanks very much to the ones that discovered this dinosaur thread.

-I dance in different clubs; clubs where is all about the stage with little to no hustling, to clubs where hustling is very encouraged. These days, I dance when my left knee is not being a pain in the butt.

You're spot on about low-pressure clubs! Super friendly girls, nowhere near as stressful, super relaxing because you aren't expected to hustle your butt off. However, the financial ceiling is much lower-- especially in the club I'm currently at as it is a combination of stage only and low-pressure. On the flip side of the customers who comprehend this system are the customers who fail to grasp the fact that they are supposed to take initiative with tipping and thus end up spending ridiculous sums of money at the club but absolutely none on the dancers. Definitely pros and cons in low-hustle clubs ^^

First off, I'm embarrassed that I didn't notice this thread was so old! Haha. Oh well - it's good information not only for you, but for others too.

Secondly, I'm really sorry to hear about your knee. A stripper with knee problems, you say? Never heard of that one.

    Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I'm with Charlie - both on being more of a hustler myself, but also on wishing you a speedy recovery - knee problems suck. That said, the camgirl in me just got dollar signs in her eyes - if you don't mind being online, film a bunch of injury clips and sell them!! (Just saw your verified siggy - MAKE ALL THE CLIPS!! LOL)

Anyway - I find that when it is busy, I make a point of walking happily - grinning, making eye contact, bouncing around like I am about to start skipping any second because I am just so stoked to be there. When I am on my way to a guy, I make sure to make eye contact and wink at other guys, and when I talk to guys at the table, I bend over and aim my ass at the guy behind me. Then, if I am doing a bunch of dances, and keep noticing them and making them notice me, they eventually get frustrated and come to get me!
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.

Oooh...and don't forget to assume a power pose when you're surveying the club, standing in front of a customer, and waiting at the bar! Wonderwoman is a good one, though I'd tweak it situationally since it sometimes looks a bit too aggressive.
