Can I change my stage name while still working at the same club? My club doesn't have a ton of regulars (it's mostly touristy types just passing through) and I don't work very often....so I figure it won't really affect much. Thoughts?

Sure you can. How long have you been at your club for?
I tried a few months ago, but the DJs kept forgetting, so I was called 2 different names all night. They would often introduce me on stage as my new name, but then give me my exit as the old name, lol.
I gave in and kept the original name.![]()

It's great to choose a name you really like/that you feel suits you and or your dancer persona etc, so if you feel the need to change it then I'd say definitely go for it! Just out of curiosity-what are you thinking of changing it to?
Definitely be prepared for fellow dancers/staff slipping back to the old name since it's what they know you as, and any random customers that return sporadically to be a bit confused. What's inciting the name change?

There's one girl at my club whose changed her name 3 times. We all got used to it.

Thanks for the responses! I started at my club back in March or April (it is the first and only club I have worked at). And I didn't really think of a name before I went to audition so when the DJ asked how to introduce me I just said the first name that came to mind...but I don't really like it and it kinda lacks personality, plus I had no idea what my own personal style would be like at the time. Soooo, I've wanted to change it since that first day but just didn't really know if I could. I'm not sure yet what I'll change it to. I just know that I definitely want to change it...and it seems, from what you guys have said, that besides some initial confusion its not that big a deal to change your name so I think I'm gonna do it. I'll keep you posted on what I pick!
Unrelated, but I have the print of your avatar hanging up in my kitchen, Scarlett.![]()
