    Default Moving! Help!

I'm seriously considering moving in Jan/Feb and dancing full time for 6-8 months cuz I need to make a lot of money in a short period of time. I know where I want to go, I know there is a lot of money to be made in that town and I have a friend there who needs a roomie so it would be an easy transition in some ways. Thing is, I'm very particular about the level of contact and the type of environment I'm comfortable with and I don't want to make the move only to discover that I'm not okay with the way clubs run in the new city.

Is it worth it to make a short trip there prior to actually moving to scope out the clubs? How have others gone about doing this?

Yes, I definitely think you should go check it out.

How long should I go for though? Like say if I want to check out 4 or 5 different clubs do I go for a week and just check out a different club each night and audition?

I personally have not ever done this. But, considering the number of clubs you mentioned I wouldn't care much to audition since it is likely you're going to get hired at whichever one you choose (for some reason I am just making the assumption you're super hawt). I would go to each club as a customer, get a LD, and talk to a girl already working there (tip her for her time, please) and see whats up. A week should be long enough to cover all clubs. You could also ask while you're there if they are hiring, just as you're about to leave, ya know. Thats what I would do.

I'm also moving across the country at the end of this semester. I am going to get an apartment and whatnot about a month before and am gonna do the same as far as scoping out clubs.
