    Default Another makeover thread...

I've just started posting here not too long ago, but I've really come to value the opinion of you ladies. Long story short I'm feeling considerably less than confident after a few events and weight gain, and I'm going to do something about it! Tan, hair, makeup - please excuse the smudged liner, unfortunate sweater, and frizzy hair - surgery, etc., I will try anything. I've already consulted with a Dr. here and he wants to take in my nose so it's a little less bulbous along with the projection.

Again please forgive my narcissism, but I do value the community here a lot and would really appreciate some serious input!

You probably don't want to hear this, but you look absolutely fine to me! Your features are to die for so I guess all that would be left is to play them up. Really not much I would recommend outside of a sheer lip color (nudes, corals, pinks, etc), perhaps a softer eye, and adding a bit of volume/texture to your hair. Some extensions with a few layers cut into it should do the trick.

I don't think your nose is awful at all, but have you heard of contouring? There's certain ways you can use bronzer to catch the light and make it appear thinner.

Hopefully, others chime in and give you a bit more of what you're looking for because I think you're stunning and therefore don't really see much that needs to change. Good luck!

You definitely do not need surgery. I don't think you need a tan either. I would just say maybe a more natural brown tone lip.. it looks like your wearing liner on the outside edge of your lips. Your lips are already awesomely full so you really don't need liner at all. And a more neutral tone colour would make them look more soft I think. I like your hair and hair colour. I think your skin tone is nice too. The eye makeup is alright but you could probably do something that makes your eyes pop even more. Rusty tones IMO.

You do not need surgury! You have great features, I'd suggest a concealor (under the eyes, below the brow, a little on the chin and the sides of the nose. Cover up but I dont think you need it, your skin looks fine. Try adding a loose powder to blend in if you have any redness and to blend the concealor. Add blush (soft rose toned).

I would get waterproof masraca, your top eyeliner is fine. Dont apply eyeliner inside the bottom lid if you are, it causes more smugdes, instead apply it on the bottom lashes downwards b/c Im not sure whether you did your eye make up like that, or its because of the weather or wearing it for long periods of time but the bottom of the eyes look smugded, applying concealor beforehand helps preventing smugdes.

    You are beautiful!!

Seriously I think all you would need to consider is how you apply products.

Microdermabrasion is great for giving skin a wake up call and leaves it feeling silky smooth.

I would maybe just go to a makeup counter and try out a couple of new looks - they could point you to the colours that would suit best - and would save a lot of trial and error on your part.

A couple of highlights in your hair if you wanted to change it - would allow it to catch the light etc ...

Because you have such great features I don't think you need to be as heavy with your makeup.

you really look fine. maybe if you post a less-flattering picture, actual advice can be given. it's hard when people post pictures of themselves where they look perfectly fine and then ask for a makeover. if this is how you look on average, you don't need a makeover.
the only "flaw" i can see, i can't think of what would "fix" it, aside from maybe some dark powder along your chin and jawline to give the bottom of your face some definition. i would not tan or get plastic surgery or anything else. if your hair is unpleasing to you, buy a better flat iron + john frieda hair serum.
plastic surgeons will take anyone's money. spend that money on shoes and a massage package.

Its cool that you're gonna tan, do your hair, and re-vamp your makeup. But None of those things are gonna help you lose weight (you said you're down about your weight gain), so I suggest you hit the gym. All those things are important but if you're overweight, you're overweight, and no amount of makeup can cover it up.

Can you post more pictures of your nose? My sister is getting a nose job within the next few months for the exact same reason.....

    1. Keep the pale skin, you are one of the rare people who can pull it off, and it goes with the rest of your features and overall look.

    2. Less lipliner

    3. I haven't seen your body, but I am an avid believer in daily workouts, even if just for the mental/emotional improvement

Yes, pigmented gloss! Also, what type of hair dye are you using?

I suppose I'm in the minority, but I think if you have the money and the desire, a nose job is a good idea for you - your tip is really bulbous. Other than that and losing some weight define your jaw, I think you have a very fortunate/pretty face, especially if you chill out with the lower-lid and lip liner.

Kinda Angelina Jolie-esque... you must hear that a lot.

Wow, thank you so much for the help and kind words everybody! On the eyes I was wearing Mac smoulder kohl at the end of the day...! I think my problem is makeup is a bit of a crutch for me, which goes back to the weight gain.

I've not gotten some keratin on my hair for a few months now, but hopefully that and a new colorist - the girl who has been doing mine used plain semi dark brown, which was black for a while - will fix that. I'm just hoping for a shade lighter or two so it'll look less severe.

Angie Jolie, jeeze! Thank you again for all the kind nose comments, but oddly enough, Angelina's nose is the one I was asking for. I'll be sure to post up some more of that, I believe I have the before and projected after images..

And makeup...I used to wear mac stripdown with velvet teddy or cherish, but that was much too brown so I switched to lancome's le lipstique in natural mauve. I'm really afraid of lipgloss for one reason or another, but I'll be sure to try it out. I must say too I'm super excited about the mention of microdermabrasion, I've been eyeing Dr. Brandt's crystals!

Again thanks everybody a hundred fold!

Like everyone else said I think you look great. But you should seriously think about leaving your nose as it is, good rhinoplasty is few and far between ...

(Angelina Jolie had her nose slimmed and the tip more defined - I would love to know which surgeon did that.)
