As silly as it sounds, I feel like I'm already a stripper in my head and when I read things like this it gets me pumped to start. The only thing that throws me off are things like #24. I know this isn't the place for overly sensitive people, but if someone threw a quarter at me on stage, I don't know how I would react to that.

It really depends on the club, but most places will have a customer removed who throws change at you.

You're right, it's not good for sensitive people, but honestly everyone has bad days where they can't heed #24... it happens. Yesterday I heard 2 guys standing behind me, audibly discussing me like I was a piece of meat, and when one said "But she has no ass", I turned around, flipped him off, and told him to go fuck himself. Plenty of girls will "accidentally" dump drinks on rude commenters at stage, press a knee a little too hard into their balls if they're handsy during a dance, etc.

So yeah, I wouldn't lose your head and pour a beer on everyone who's an asshole, but don't feel like you're a psycho if you have a bad day and tell someone off occasionally.

^^^ OMG I hate when I over hear guys doing this!!! I get sooo pissed off. I try to ignore them but I usually end up walking by & instead of acknowledging their excistence I sit next to another guy & work him. They usually get pissed if I don't say anything to them. I overheard one guy about a year ago say to his friend that I was "too fat" when he asked him well just take her, she's hot. Ugh, as if we'd ever give them the time of day in real life.

This exactly is why I get so livid at customers who have rude things to say about dancers. If any one of us came up to a guy at the bank, Starbucks, whatever -- and started flirting with them like we do when we talk to them in the club, they'd never stop bragging to their friends about what a Casanova they are. You know a man would never, ever, ever hmmm... maybe later you if you approached him in the grocery store. The very idea is laughable!

In fact, do we not have the opposite problem outside the club -- guys won't leave us alone?

Yet as soon as we're at work, trying to make money, they're just too good to pay for it. It's like this meme:

#1 should be optional. If you are new, then yes, by all means approach everyone, but more seasoned dancers will prioritize their approach on who they are most likely to close with. Don't waste your time on a long shot when a better prospect is available.

Also, don't be afraid to just avoid a customer who creeps you out. Your gut instinct is there to protect you. If a guy is giving you a serial-killer vibe, there should be no reason to force yourself to interact with him. A guy sat at my stage the other day who I swear was mentally eviscerating me. No way I was going to ask him if he wanted dances!

Another tip for your self-protection that I already knew before becoming a stripper (I had regular jobs)-

Anyone at work will throw you under the bus. There are no real friendships in the bar business. Meaning- don't pal up with anyone who seems to be either not focused on making money, or just seems a little too interested in you. I have witnessed some incredible feats of backstabbing between dancers in my years as a stripper- sometimes club workers and even management will join in on the drama too.

The sad truth is if you get burned/fired from a strip club, people will just tell you "What did you expect?" The strip club industry is not a place for the excessively sensitive soul or an innocent person.

Look Out For Number One, Don't Step In Number 2
