    Default Indy Clubs?

I've only ever worked at smaller neighborhood bars, never at a place like PTs or Brad's. I'm currently going through and reading all the threads on Indianapolis clubs I can find, but I'd love some updated info.

Weight/ethnicity requirements..? I'm need to tone (working very hard and successfully on that!), but I'm not obese, lol. I am mixed and look it, though very few customers have been able to guess my ethnicity (white, black, Mexican).

    Tipouts/stage fees/VIP fees...?

I've applied at Club Rio, Rick's Cabaret (formerly Brad's Gold Club), and The Red Garter recently. I actually applied at the Garter twice, once this year and once last year. They never saw me audition in my dance clothes, so I'm assuming it's more of a race issue. Club Rio gave me a "hiring freeze" line, as did Rick's Cabaret. Either they really aren't hiring or they don't want ethnic girls.

As far as weight goes, I'm not meant to be a size 0. My lowest weight was maybe 110 (5ft, 3 inches), and even then I had hips, boobs, and an ass, though all very proportionate. So if clubs like these want very skinny girls, probably isn't the place for me.

Anyway, I'm just looking for places that might be good. Just started at the Chassy -- anyone worked there before?

Ricks Cabaret, PTs, Brass and Dancers all tend to be VERY picky when it comes to their girls sizes... If you are a "thick" girl or maybe plain janish than what you need to do is apply during the DAY SHIFT. All of these clubs may tell you that you must work days and can stay over, not just be a night shifter. But! If you do a good job, work hard, and make friends with the staff, after a month or two no one will care when you work.
Always be sure to look TOP NOTCH as you are walking in the door to try out, dont walk in half done. Also be sure to be POLITE, CONSIDERATE and prove your value as a productive team member by not being edgy or mean under any circumstances during your tryout and probation period.
Another tip would be to try wearing long hair if you are currently sporting a short cut. $100 will buy you a NICE wig and make you seem more attractive, as Ive found the dancing industry is more long hair friendly. After you get hired, you dont have to keep wearing the wig-youre already hired.
Ricks Cabaret has no mandatory tip outs, but they do have a house fee. The other clubs have a mandatory 10% earned income to the dj, 5% earned income to the bar and $5-10 to the housemom. All per night. For example.. if you made $100, you would give the dj $10, the bartender $5, the house mom $5 and walk out with $80 (depending on whether you have to pay house fee or not).
Dancers, Garter and PTs all also have a house fee.
As for your skinny girl clubs, PTs and Dancers generally dont hire anyone over a size 3.
And as far as your race, the only club Ive heard of not hiring ethnic girls (unless you know someone or are VERY pretty) is Brads Brass. Though, that is just the rumor. If you would rather work in a strongly ethnic club, Passion on the west side and Sunset Strip are two very busy clubs that hire and see mostly ethnic dancers and patrons.
I have never worked at Chassy, but Ive heard from people who have that the owner of that string of bars (he owns Harem House and Babes East as well) is a POS and doesnt give a rats ass about his employees. Not really somebody Id want to be working for. But if you are suceeding there, than who cares.
The only other club I might suggest if you cant hit a big name club is Silk, Bobby has made a TON of changes in there, has full size lockers, a tanning bed and they have two spinning poles on their stage.
    Good Luck!!
