    Default Tremors

I have had a very slight tremor my whole life. I developed thyroid disease (Graves hyperthyroidism) in my early/ mid 20s, and the tremor became pretty bad. I currently have no insurance- after graduating and losing mine from being a student, I couldn't find any ins. that would insure me with a pre existing. I can't go to the dr for this, and the hormone testing that will be needed regularly for any sort of treatment for it is very very $$$$$$$$$$$.

When I started dancing in my late teens many years ago, it wasn't an issue. I took several years off, and pursued other things, but have started dancing again. It is SUPER noticeable when I give a lap dance. 99% of the time the guy I'm dancing for will comment on it. I have been telling guys that I just had a bunch of coffee. I try to act extra energetic to pull this off. I think it vreally makes the guys nervous- the shaking, not the extra energy.

Does anyone else here have tremors? Essential or related to another issue? How do you deal with it? What non medicine alternitive have you found to help?

    Default Re: Tremors

This is the only thing I've found, though I myself do not have graves:
    http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/graves_disease.html

I went through it and though there are certainly other things you should look into,
I can agree that most people nowadays are deficient in Vitamin D, and it's been supposed
in a couple articles I've read, to act more like a hormone rather than a vitamin.
So I would definitely add a good vitamin D capsule (not the hardtablets but a capsule with
either powder or gel in it) and research. Because you can take 50,000 ius if you're hardcore
deficient broken down into different doses during the day, and take that 50,000 ius for
weeks on end and then go down 10,000 ius slowly.

Sounds like Bugleweed extract is your best bet though I've actually never done any research on it, multiple people
on the thread are saying it's worked for them:
" I tried bugleweed liquid herbal extract. I take about 10cc 2x/day. I tried lemon balm but it makes me sleepy. I take flax seed oil as well. I improved a lot. NO more palpitations. No more trembling or weight loss .I go for blood test q 3 mos.slowly but i see improvement each time. I learn to delegate as well. I do yoga on daily basis. Remember you don't have time, but you have to do it for your own self."

I googled the buglewort tincture and came across this thread on a different site:
    http://www.dailystrength.org/groups/...ssages/7483451

And aside from supplements someone brought up feeling better going off of gluten:
"I have been feeling really good since eliminating wheat and gluten. I am also eating a low Iodine diet that is full of antioxidants, and taking vitamins. Selenium seems to be really important to people with Grave's and so is vitamin D and Coenzyme Q10."

Since you have to control your salt intake (from what I've read just now) it's easier not to eat out that often or at all if it triggers you really bad-- the nice part is there is a veritable wealth of gluten free options nowadays and they're getting a lot tastier. I made a gluten free bread one time, and it was good!

Also, in the earthclinic thread, there was an interesting entry on what you're eating and how things like broccoli can help grave's specifically. I would recommend, as you money hopefully gets better, investing in the books mentioned in the threads or ordering them from your library for free, and investing in a steamer and a juicer. Just keep in mind not to steam your vegetables to death and try to eat them raw or as raw as you can stand.

Going back to the gluten though, you might try a cleanse of some sort just to allow you some sort of base point to start adding things in to see what triggers things for you. Maybe bread doesn't, but bread now is way different than it was 100 years ago, so most people's bodies aren't adapted for it.
