    Default cipralex/lexapro?

Has anyone been on this for anxiety? I just got prescribed it, first time taking any kind of medication for my anxiety. My anxiety is constant, and for no real reason...I was literally sitting on the beach last week and got hit with it to the point where I was nauseous and vomiting....my anxiety has caused extreme nausea and stomach issues for the last two years, so I'm finally taking care of it. Would appreciate hearing of anyones experiences with Cipralex/Lexapro...I've been started on 10mg, and start it tonite.

Dammit! I wrote a long reply and then deleted it by accident...DOH!! Anyway....

I use cipralex sometimes. I have a mild version of bi-polar (basically) which leads to a cyclical depression/mania, but I don't like to take medication full time, and luckily, I don't have to to keep it under control. So whenever I feel a depression coming on, I will start up with 5mg of cipralex daily. Usually I'll be on it for 2-3 months, and while it won't solve the problem on its own, it will keep the worst of the depression at bay, and give me the motivation and energy to get out of bed (I'm a sleeper when I get depressed) so that I can work out, eat right, and basically do all the stuff that WILL solve the problem.

So I'm a fan, but I do know people that have not had much luck with it. Best advice I can give you? Try different medications until you find one that works, but be sure that you are doing everything else you possibly can to keep your mind and body healthy.

    Hope it works for you!!
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.

i was on cipralex for over a year. it was ok, but not really great. now im on seroxat and fluanxol, and have a tiny bit of xanax for emergencies. both cipralex and that new drug combination worked fine for me, yet the new one makes me feel a tiny bit better, so im sticking to that one. have you seen a psychiatrist or did just a gp prescribe those? if it was a gp, id highly recommend seeing a psychiatrist too. psychiatrists arent just for crazy people, you know and they have much more experience with this kind of medications.
