Default customer attempting to blackmail me

I've had this regular for a couple of months now, and I can't put into words how much I dislike him, but that's neither here nor there.

The other night, I was complaining of how badly my impacted wisdom tooth is hurting and how I couldn't really afford to get it cut out. Believe it or not, I was actually just trying to reassure him I wasn't in a bad mood, but just not feeling talkative; I wasn't hinting that he should give me the cash.

Well, he did! He gave me somewhere close to $1000 to have surgery. Buuuuut now he's using it to manipulate the shit out of me. Like, I did a dance for him last night (after the cash had been spent) and he would NOT stop trying to touch me, suck on my nipple, pull back my thong, etc etc. I asked him not to touch me repeatedly and he said he wanted his money back....um, wtf??? Now he's threatening to tell my boss that he actually LOANED me the money in exchange for dances..which he did not. It was very clear that it was a gift.

So, now I'm not sure how my boss will react if he does feed him that crap....anyway, I can't say I didn't kinda see this coming, but getting my tooth yanked to stop the pain was a big influence to go ahead and accept the cash. So now what do I do?

I would go to your boss and tell him the situation. Explain the behaviours that this guy is trying to do and that you are saying no and that is why he is blackmailing you.

your boss is probably smart enough to know that money exchanged between parties in a strip club is not a "loan" and that if it was a loan, the guy should have written some kind of an IOU.

stop dealing with a regular you don't like. No amount of money is worth your dignity.

Good advice; I'm just hoping they don't take his word over mine or something.

He's usually just annoying; until now, he hasn't done anything bad or scary, spends plenty of $ and hasn't been too touchy. I like him MUCH more than the guys who buy single dances and think they can touch all they want for $20, so I took the lesser of two evils

Odds are your manager is going to tell him to buzz off. Once the money is in your hand, it's yours. Don't let this dumb ass intimidate you.

I would tell management & no longer have him as a customer. He's a problem starter. :/

It's always good to give the manager a heads up that something negative is going on before it gets worse. If you go to him now I'm sure that he'll deal w/ it before it goes south. But if you just try to ignore it -then it could possibly reflect badly on you & you don't want that.

Also chances are that if this guy is already acting like this you aren't going to keep him as a regular if he does not get what he wants -but no one gets to keep regulars forever anyways. They are always temporary affairs -that's why it's not real life. Besides, why would you wanna deal w/ a regular like this anyways.

I'm sorry girl! But I'm sure management would laugh at this Guy. I mean seriously I'm laughing at this Guy, he wants his money back? Its not McDonald's, tell him off and let him know for future reference this is a no refund business.

Thanks everyone...I know my manager has cracked down on girls taking money and not giving dances, so that's why I was worried, but I think this is different....I mean, even if they DID buy his story about him paying me $1000 up front for dances, I'm allowed to walk out of a dance and keep the $ anyway if they cross the line! All in all, I think I'm gonna come out the winner...got my tooth yanked at no cost to me and now I won't have to deal with this asshole anymore.

well also. He would be coming back DAYS later and whining to the manager that you didn't do the dances. Don't you think he would have complained about that SOONER?!

Not if he's not ready to give up on his little game yet....he does this sort of thing. He tries to mess up my hair, stroke my face, kiss/lick my neck, etc and if I tell him to cut the shit, he buys dances from other girls to "get back at me." *eye roll* so anyway, point is, tonight was my night off and I would NOT be surprised if he waits until I come back in to try this crap one last time.

I wouldn't get into heavy specifics like telling him about your tooth. I'd present it as a tip not a gift or loan but a tip received over a week ago and now he thinks he can go crazy. Tell the manager he doesn't care about the rules or the bouncers.

^ This. I don't think it would be wise to share any extra information with management about the situation. Simply say this man gave you a large tip a while ago, and now he's trying to break the rules during dances and use the tip as justification. There's no way for him to prove how much money he gave you and what it was for, hopefully they just tell him to get fucked.

Like others have said, give the manager a heads up that the guy might be trying to come to him with a complaint, and then tell the guy to fuck off. Don't tell the customer that the "loan" idea is stupid anyway - let him try to run with it and realize how retarded it sounds when the manager laughs in his face. Seriously, even if it was a loan, what the fuck is the manager of your club supposed to do about it? It's not within his jurisdiction to make sure you pay back personal loans. Once he tells this asshole that, the guy can't really change his story without looking like the shady fuck he is. Seriously, just ignore the dude the next time he's in. Tell the manager that you had a customer give you a large tip last week and now he's being too handsy and might come give him trouble about you when you refuse to dance for him. If your manager is haflway decent, this should be the end of it.

I would do nothing. Anyone who has been in the strip biz for more than five minutes, including your boss, knows that there's no such thing as loan. Letting go of a wad of cash is like taking your hand off of a chess-piece. This guy is SOL. I wouldn't count on his being your regular any more, but I'm sure that's fine. Don't worry about it.

If someone went to my manager and said that my manager would probably laugh in his face and tell the guy tough luck. They know we get cash gifts all the time and management likes it because happy dancer = happy club. If I told the manager the guy was being a douche like that he'd probably ban them. Problem solved. Definitely talk to management.

Problem solved...I think. He was in tonight but I ignored him completely. Then he cornered me trying to come out of the DR and was like, "did you think about what you owe me?" So I walked past him, tipped off the manager and he pretty much laughed his ass off. He says, "he's the dumbass who gave money to a stripper in a club. Don't worry about it." Did I mention how much I loooove and adore my club/management?
