Ive done insanity. Its basically a bunch of crazy hard cardio as fast as you can. I was bored and had to force myself to do it. Would have preferred more strength training moves. Never tried P90X but it seems more varried. All the insanity videos were pretty much the same
I've never done either but my neighbor did p90x & it really changed his body. He did two cycles, the first one he lost bodyfat & by the end of the second one he built some noticeable muscles. You have to be dedicated though. You have to drink shakes & take supplements at certain times, and buy a few pieces of special equipment.

I haven't done it, but I have read a lot about P90X. If you are vigilant about doing it, and keep your diet clean, you can have amazing results. It's a lot like crossfit... sort of "balls to the walls" all-out cardio/strength in one. If this appeals to you, and you have the discipline to workout at home, I say go for it.
Personally, I know I could never stick with videos. Being in the gym, around others who are working out, really helps motivate me.
And I'm quite sure you know this but I'll say it again - diet is the biggest thing. You can easily sabotage any workout routine if you aren't eating properly.
Let us know what you decide!
I'm leaning toward Insanity...IF I do either. I think P90X is what I'd prefer, but I travel a lot for work, and Insanity doesn't require any special equipment.
Does either program actually lay a diet out for you, or is that up to you to figure out?

My ex GF did P90X and if you keep up with it. The results are insane. If you can dedicate the time during the week then it's def worth the investment.

I have to say u do have to be persistent for p90x been thinking about switching to insanity but I need to be more toned then muscled.so idk anyways ... Just IMO if u wanna e toned go do p90x is u want muscles go to insanity![]()
I know that the TRX is great for travel strength training.

If you pick up resistance bands you can use them in place of pull up bar/dumbells and travel with p90x no problem.
For what it's worth... I did a round of p90x... then Insanity... then went BACK to p90x.
When I did p90x the first time I lost weight, was more toned, ect. Then I did Insanity, and despite the fact that there was a lot of gasping and panting... I lost any toned I'd gained from p90x, gained weight on the same diet and when it was finally over and I made the switch back to p90x I felt more out of shape than I did the first time I'd started it.
Both come with some type of diet guide.
I tried P90x for about 3 weeks. Ya i couldn't make it all the way. But honestly, I felt like it wasn't working on the parts I wanted worked on. Another words I felt that i could get quicker and better results doing it my way. I used to go to the gym twice a day and was majorly into working out..so i know how to get my body in shape a lot quicker than 90 days. I'm outta shape now which really sux and saddens me lol

i hated p90x. it was boring, a lot of breaks where the guy would just talk and tbh i didn't even find it that hard and I'm not in the best shape..

i did beachbody because i have this weird fondness for workout videos. it kept my attention for a it and then i eventually wandered off and made tea and had a cigarette.
as i recall, the moves were really fun. they just got extremely boring and i dunno, i could see the tea kettle so it was like..

I think 5 pounds. It's prob just not the best workout for me cause I bulk up fast. And it was really boring, too.. I think I'm gonna try insanity next.

I did Insanity. I was in amazingggg shape, although not so "muscular" looking. That could've been my diet and my body type though.
I did see amazing results between my first and last fit test, and I loved that it could be done in smaller space with no equipment.
I can't say enough good things about most BeachBody workouts in general. I've lived by them for years! They are all great quality workouts, and all very effective when practiced as intended.

So did you follow the diet that came with the program? I have a friend who has the Insanity DVDs but not the diet stuff or anything else, and he is willing to give them to me...do I need that other stuff or just the DVDs?

I tried P90X. It's more strength training than cardio. I lift a 30 pd child all day long so that's all the strength training I need. I'd like to try Insanity for the cardio benefits. They don't really outline a diet for you. It's one big advertisement for their products.

I went through P90X not too long ago and made it day... 80-something before life began getting crazy. Gotta say, it was boring as hell, but if you stick with it, it will get you some results. I'm thinkin' of doing Round 2 soon and just cutting out the Recovery Weeks since those just seemed to make me drag my ass the most. Strength training ftw!![]()
Alright, I am writting here, since there are tons of threads opened about Insanity workout.
I was used to do some Fitnessblender workout programs, I got lazy and they were not challenging me enough so... here I am, getting back to Insanity workout. I liked Fitnessblender at first, but something was missing... seems I am used to exhaust myself to death hahahaha))
I've done the Insanity workout for about 3 weeks, 3 years ago and I got in shape and abandoned it)). During those years I've put those 5 pounds back so, I am doing Insanity again. It's the only workout program who did some noticeable changes to me. This time I want to complete all the 60 days. I am really curious about the results!
I just finished day 2 of Insanity and I can tell now I remember why I ran away from it all theese 3 years. It's fucking challenging!! Yesterday, after the Fit Test, I was feeling nauseous and almost ready to throw up!! And it's only 30 minutes! I was thinking "Wtf I am doing tomorow???". But, today, was better. I took it easy and still exhausted myself.
So... anyone doing it right now? Or finished it lately?
After Insanity I want to try a workout program that is getting me lean (Maybe Body Beast or P90X).

I have done both programs and I highly recommend them. I would start with p90x first to build muscles and endurance then go to Insanity. I did it an went from 127 to 115 in a few months. You have to stick to the diet too though. If not, it's not going to do the full job. But bring a snack to work since you'll be burning extra calories and eating too few can have the opposite affect. P90x gives great tone and definition and Insanity is great for trimming down.

I did insanity for a bit but didn't keep up with it like I should have. It was a good workout and I sweat a TON but I didn't find it particularly difficult either.
My sister did P-90X and was in crazy shape. Her husband at the time got her to do it and he was super into it.

I haven't workout in 2 months, being busy with moving and everything. I feel soooo shit!!!
Actually I bought myself some puzzle exercite mat, to cover my living room floors and I'll do some Shaun T combined with Jillian Michaels)
I plan to workout 1 hour a day Focus T25+ Body Revolution.
I did both of them, a while ago and I believe that if I have a consistent meal, I can push 1 hour trough both.
I have a big wedding party at the end of april so... time's short, I need to push myself a little, so I can fit in that body tight gown)
