Thumbs down PCOS- Polycystic Ovaries Syndrome- HELP ME!

ok girls, i am freaking the fuck out! I have a doctors appointment on Tues but i am adamant i have PCOS.
Honestly, i could cry, if i find out i 100% have it, i will be devastated!

My skin is still so bad at 24 years old, really bad around my chin, i have theeee most prestigous skin care routine, i am so healthy, drink 5 litres of water a day, eat a very clean diet as i am in the gym doing cardio and weights 5-6 times a week.

My periods are clockwork which i know one of the symptoms for PCOS is an irregular cycle.

I've noticed that my hairgrowth has suddenly increased, i'm waxing every 2 weeks and the state of my thighs from ingrown hairs is ridculous!
Yet the hair on my hair is thinning and 100s of strands are coming out a day!

I have read up posts on this site and info on the net but i am sooooo worried i'm gonna end up obese and lose all my hair! I work so hard and eat so clean to have a good body, i'll be suicidal if i can't keep my body looking like this! And all those hours in the gym would be a complete waste!
Please help girls, need some advice

Here are a couple of options-- I think anytime I'm reading about hormone imbalances in women, I think Blackstrap molasses, and vitamin D. Supposedly, putting tumeric on your skin over time thins body hair (you just have to wash really well to make sure you pull the tumeric yellow off your skin-- sometimes it takes washing with a milk or yogurt wash.)

I'm sorry to hear you're going through that. You're likely going to have to address the hormone issues, though I have to wonder also if it would be a good idea to look at laser

I have heard that not eating sugars and refined carbs helps- eating nuts, lentils, and whole grains is supposed to eliminate or reduce a lot of symptoms. I have a related condition, and a trip to my dietitian sorted it all out.

I have PCOS and the weight gain isn't really that much of an issue (I did gain weight but I'm a lazy ass and eat really unhealthy but I've lost a lot with some lifestyle changes). As long as you keep up your healthy lifestyle you should be fine. If the weight gain becomes bad they can prescribe you diabetes medications like metformin. They will probably prescribe birth control pills, ring, patch, etc. if you're not already on it because it helps with the acne and keeps you from ovulating which in turn helps keep the cysts from forming and growing.

Yeah, PCOS sucks but it's not the end of the world. Hope you don't have it tho!

I don't have PCOS but I have had problems with cysts and have stage 4 endometriosis.

The best advice I can give is GO TO A SPECIALIST. I cannot stress this enough. Your regular bgyn will have a general knowledge of gynecological diseases and conditions, but 95% of their work is with pregnancy and delivering babies. A specialist who works purely in gyn diseases will have all the latest treatments and knowledge, and will have much more experience in surgery should you need it.

Unfortunately specialists are few and far between, but if you Google "endometriosis specialist" and your state you should be able to find one. (Endometriosis specialists will know how to deal with PCOS, as many endo sufferers also have PCOS, fibroids, PID etc.)

Good luck, I understand what you're going through!
